The interest is no doubt due, in part, to a CBS News feature on Callum DeQuevedo, a 17-year-old living with an extreme case of Tourette syndrome. He underwent deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery with implants to relieve life-altering tics when other conventional treatments failed. CBS News was the first to film the approach for Tourette’s.
