The incidence of tics and Tourette syndrome has skyrocketed over the last few decades. Unfortunately, conventional medicine has made little progress in new treatments for the millions affected. Families are often told these disorders are genetic and there is nothing that can be done beyond reducing stress and taking medications. Just recently the scientific community has started to look at environmental issues for tic disorders. But at this point, there is little consensus and no direction is offered to families.
Here’s the good news: ACN Latitudes has been exploring and promoting the role of environmental factors and the immune system for tics and Tourettes for more than 16 years. We have answers that can help. Integrative and natural approaches to tics and Tourettes can be very useful, along with avoiding triggering factors. Many families find they can avoid medication completely or reduce the drugs being taken when pursuing treatments that address the underlying cause of the symptoms.
ACN Latitudes is the leading international organization exploring the role of the environment in the prevention and treatment of Tourette syndrome and other tic disorders.
