Advice From Consumer Reports on Cell Phone Safety (Premium)
Adapted from a review by Joel Moskowitz, PhD, Director of the Prevention Research Center at the University of California/Berkeley School of Public Health.
Consumer Reports published an article September 28, 2015: “Does Cell-Phone Radiation Cause Cancer?”
Key points in the article included that 1) cell phone users are advised to take safety precautions; 2) the government needs to strengthen cell phone radiation regulations, and 3) manufacturers should prominently display “steps that cell-phone users can take to reduce exposure to cell-phone radiation.”
Thank you for raising awareness on cell phone radiation. Please keep news like this coming. I also wonder about all the other wifi devices in my home though… TV, laptops, tablets… Are the same health risks there too?
Each of those devices emits pulsed radiofrequency radiation, as well as modems, baby monitors, cordless phones and their base stations, and smart meters. In every case, limiting exposure is wise. Keep as much distance from the body as possible. And be especially attentive to children’s exposure.
