You Won’t Believe What These Ninth Grade Girls Did
It was such a simple concept, but one that scientists had failed to try. Five students in Denmark completed an amazing experiment on wifi radiation, The idea started because they’d noticed that if they slept with an active cell phone near their heads, they had trouble concentrating the next day.
Since they didn’t have equipment for fancy radiation measurements, they used plants to measure the effect from routers. For 12 days they studied 12 trays of water cress seeds: six trays were placed next to two wifi routers, and six trays were similarly placed in a room without radiation.
The result? At the end of the 12 days, the seeds placed next to the routers were completely dead while the radiation-free seeds thrived. They won first prize, but better yet, reportedly a neuroscience professor at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden is interested in replicating the effort under a controlled setting.
School wifi systems even more dangerous Wifi radiation at home is a problem, for sure. Much worse though, is the radiation at schools where wifi levels have to be strong enough to reach throughout the building and allow for fast video viewing.
This clip could forever change the way you view the “convenience” of wifi in schools:
