Getting Tips for Vaccine Safety
Many of our readers are aware of controversy surrounding vaccines and their possible side-effects. The big question is, what can someone do to protect a child from potential negative reactions?
Some of the recommendations by leaders in this field include not allowing a child to be vaccinated when they are ill, and definitely not receiving vaccines while on antibiotics. Read the label at the office to be sure the vial does not contain thimerosal (mercury). Thimerosal has been phased out of most vaccines, but staff members are not always aware of specific vial contents. Also, spread the vaccines out, rather than giving multiple doses on one day or within a few weeks.
