My son has been doing NAET for about 3 years now, off & on. I feel that it has helped him regard w/food sensitivities & tics. After treating w/ NAET, i still avoid all the bad stuff, like additives 95% of the times and give him food that he was sensitive to in moderation. I think like anything, treatment needs maintenance as our bodies are always changes and we face with stress that can trigger our old illness to come back. I believe that the NAET or any other energetic modalities is to raise our threshold but not a true cure since we are born w/certain dispositions. So as long as we can keep everything in balance, things can be good. Pat

Anyone notices any waxing in tics or compulsion while taking Apple Cider Vinegar? i am not sure if it is a conincidence, but i notice my son has been touching things more lately? just wondering if it was the effect of detoxification. Thx! Pat

Hi all, I have been working on healing my son's gut (he has allergies & asthma). He has been taking probiotic daily since April after getting strep and now i am looking into adding ACV. Does anyone here use it? Apple cider vinegar is a toner so it can be use daily w/o side effects. It detoxifies the liver, helps one to break down food and assimilates it, removes toxins and balances the PH. Also, it is a probiotic, anti-fungal, anti-bacteria and anti-viral!! I recently got sick w/a cold, sore throat & nasty cough and i found it effective in helping me get better sooner. With all of its benefits, it seems to make sense to add it in our daily regimen. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Pat

patty replied to faith's topic in Tourette Syndrome and Tics
Faith, Did you treat the cookie w/NAET? Maybe that will bring your son's vocal back to baseline. So sorry to hear about the change in his vocal! Hopefully it will pass soon. Pat -

Don't be so hard on yourself Faith! We have all been there. It is so hard to keep away from everything, esp during summer w/his friends around. I agree, i would treat it w/NAET. It has worked for my son before. Have fun at the party! Pat

I start to notice my daughter start to roll on her ankles when she was about 5 while walking or running on occassion. It didn't used to hurt her feet back then. Since she roll on her ankle 8 mos ago, it has been painful, and she has the tendency to roll on it while she is running or jumping. It has gotton so bad that she can't really walk. I have used magnesium creme, epsom soak, ankle brace, insoles and taken her to the chiropractor and w/o much improvement. Anyone has any suggestions, i would love to hear it. Thx a million! Pat

Both my son & daughter took the zinc solution test and both tested deficient (chalky taste in mouth, no bitter or metallic taste). Before supplementing, i am wondering is there a complete test on minerals, as i understand, while taking zinc one may also need to take cooper to balance it. I don't just want to take zinc and throw off other minerals such as calcium & magnesium. My son is 9 and about 67lbs., and my daughter is 7 and about 46 lbs. My daughter has always been small for her age and grows very slowly. Thx! Pat

carolyn, undereye circle, not sleeping more than an hr at a time, and nurse every hr., i agree w/you that he may have some food sensitivity. you mention poop once daily & green & pretty fussy. chamomilla, a homeopathic remedy comes to mind. green poop is one of the keynote symptoms. since your baby is just born, you may want to consider treating him homeopathically w/a classically trained homeopath becuz it is much easier to cured w/o any previous treatments. btw, have you thought about vaccinations? sorry to ask, and i know it is a very personally & touchy subject, but if i had a chance to do it over again, i would be more selective and use a different vaccination schedule. at this pt., i am not so sure if i would refuse all vaccinations. hope you & your baby are doing well. pat

powerofprayer, One of my son's biggest triggers was during eating. I knew it has to do w/food but just didn't know which one, but did think that dairy or wheat/gluten seems to increase the tics. We initially did acupuncture & chiropractic and it did decrease the frequency & severity of the tics. With a comprehensive approah, including diet change and NAET, eventually eating is not his trigger. After doing NAET for 3 years, he can eat everything w/moderation. Of course, i don't allow food colorings, perservatives, msg.... When when he does eat it, he can handle it. My son has allergies & asthma, so i believe his underlining cause for his tics has to do w/allergies and an over-reactive nervous system. I have success w/NAET & craniosacral therapy. Hope this helps! Pat

myrose, so sorry to hear about the waxing. hope things are settling. may i ask why you decided to take your daughter off the med? i know many of us here are seeking natural remedy but if it is working w/o side effects there is nothing wrong w/taking med to have quality of life. pat

That sounds like his neck pain is the result of his neck tic. My son's neck tic stopped and only comes back when he complains that his neck hurts. Yes, i would start w/ the epsom bath and motrin. I would also look into chirp because 2 yrs of neck tic probably would cause misalignment on his neck. Unless you get into the underlyining problem, the neck pain will not go away. Craniosacral is also very good at relieving pain and it is noninvasive. Pat

Hi, Is your son's neck pain as a result of the neck tic or the neck tic caused his tic? I am asking because my son had neck pain that triggered his neck tic. If that is the case, craniosacral therapy was very effective for my son. And it is less invasive than chirop adjustment. Also, Motrin relief the pain and eliminated the tic. I believe it worked because inflammation is the source of my son's cause. If the pain is the result of the neck pain, acunpuncture is good w/ pain & tic reduction and chirop is important to realign the neck. Hope this is helpful. Pat
