How to use the potty chart
Does your child love Hello Kitty? You’ll find this chart gives you lots of flexibility when potty training your little one.
You can decide how many boxes should be filled in by you or covered with a sticker before awarding desired potty behavior. For example, after printing the chart you can make a little check mark in each box that needs to have a sticker on it before a goal is reached. Is it a one day effort and you want to focus on several trips to the potty to at least “give it a try?” Or do you want to give a sticker for each successful “sitting” – one that produces results?
Have you had enough progress that all you need to do is give a sticker for a full day with no accidents, and perhaps you can give a cool sticker for a 7-day stretch before a reward? You make the plan and be sure your child understand what is expected. Then watch him or her take pride in getting to the goal.
Remember — make sure it is a happy time, and avoid punishment for typical accidents. (Even if you find yourself getting frustrated!)
