Hi Kim, Sorry to here about the tough time you're going thru now. We experienced this the tics with our son almost a year ago. We started him on Bontech vitamins and cleaned up the diet - no artificial anything. Basically cooking from scratch (thanks to my wonderful wife). He is doing very well now. I found it very useful to read as much as i could on this forum when i first discovered the tics in my son. I was on here probably 3 hours a day atleast. The people on here are wonderful and extremly helpful. -
Our 6 year old has been complaining about his stomach hurting or "feeling gooey" as he puts it. This has been happening for about the past 3 years. I have ts and my biggest tic involves the stomach. Kind of feels like i'm being tickled from the inside. However my tics started together (stomach, eye blimnking, head stuff, ect...) So, i'm wondering if he will start ticcing later. I'm wondering is this ts? From everything i know about ts the jerky movements (tics) start and are quite aesy to notice. This seems strange and i'm really hoping it's not ts. Does anyone have any experience with this type of tic?? Thank you.

Hi Ad ccl, We give our son the recommended dose printed on the bottle and he does quite well. He just takes then like i do - straight down with water. It is alot of pills but not near as maby as if he had to take them separately.

Hi Kallik, we use an environmental dr. and are very happy with him. He guided us on all the different tests to do for our sons. They proved to be very beneficial.

Hi Airbucket, First thing, you've come to the right place for help and support. There are terrific, caring people who are extremely helpful on this forum. I received alot of help and support from these people last spring when we were in panic mode. Since than we have implemented many of the suggestions and have benefited enomously! I'm not an expert, but i do know that many of the people on here have used meds with complete frustration and disgust when it comes to treating ts. They now use natural remedies, as we do. We use Bontech supplements (look on the net under bontech supplements). We also have an environmental dr. who guides us with food issues, probiotics, candida's (yeast) ect... So i do think a good place to start is with a good dr. who is qualified with natural (non-drug) treatments. I also highly recommend bontech supps. Also, when we first discovered this with our son i did so many searches on this forum which i found to be very helpful and comforting. I would encourage you to search thru the many threads on this forum, and whatever you're unclear on ask us questions. We will answer if we're able.

Hello Help4matt, We have been doing the yeast (Candidas) diet with our 5 yr. old for about 5 months. It was an adjustment for about a week or two and since than it has been going very smoothly. We also use Bontech supplements (you can find them on the net - The website also contains useful info for proper diet for tic control). The whole program of supps, diet, and activity have been working well. There are a few more tics now which i think may be allergy related so our next step is NAET treatments for allergies. It may also be a good idea to seek out a good environmental dr. That is what we did and it was/is quite useful and reassuring.

Thanks Chemar, Love those encouraging stories!! We've experienced alot of the same as we changed the diet (and supplemented) with our kids.

Hello everyone, My 5 yr old son has TS. I know that building his immune system is one of the best things we can do to reduce stress and tics. He is much healthier now than just 6 months ago due to supps, diet, ect.... However he has already had 2 colds in the past 6 weeks. Both of my sons (ages 5 and 6) get sick (colds, fever, bronchitis, ect....) about 8 times a year. And I'm wondering how normal this is. My question is, how many times does your child get sick? Breif answers are appreciated - 1, 4, 13, ect..... PS. I read on a few internet sites that young school kids average around 10 cold a year!! WOW!

Need advise for my 9yr old son who has TS
itsme replied to monetta's topic in Tourette Syndrome and Tics
Hi Montta, We, and many others have found Bontech supplements to be very helpful in reducing tics. We also eat a very strict diet and we don't eat anything with artificial ingredients. Our next step may be to visit the NAET dr. As far as the sickness...... we can definitly relate. Our sons were sick most of the time from last December through April of this year. I think eating the right stuff and supplementing is helping to build their immune's though. However they have already been sick twice over the past 2 months. -
I did a post (survey) about long term success with bontech supps yesterday. Maybe that was to specific. Here is a more generalized version. My question is has anyone using supplements and or diet (and having good success ) seen a big increase in tics months or years after a period of success. Simple answers would be great. If your child does well on supps / diet, has it been pretty steady with some flare ups over the years. And how many years. Or has he/she done great for 3 years than you were back to square one? I know there are many others on this forum like myself that are concerned about a year or 2 or 5 from now. Our son has been doing very well on supps and diet regulation for the past 4 months and i am wondering if this is what the years to come will look like (which would be wonderful) or if this is just temporary and when he is 8 or 10 or13 yrs old he will be ticcing alot. Obviously no one knows for sure as every person / situation is different. But i would like to get a feel from others on here and see what the percentages look like. Thanks evryone.

Yes, it is based on the candida diet and food sensitivity diet. It was extremly restrictive for about 4 months with great results. Over this past week we have been introducing different foods. This morning we had blueberry pancakes using organic everything and topped off with stevia (a sweetener). Me and the kids almost went through the roof!!!

Hi jkc, Ask away, that's what we're all here for. Our son takes 8/day and is ticcing about 95% less, unless he gets a cold, allergy, ect.... We are quite happy with the vits. However we are on a strict diet also, which i believe helps alot.

I dated quite a bit through my teen years and dating like everything else was never any problem at all concerning TS. Like others i was never labled TS so the tics were just some "thing" that i did and that was that.

Hi Everyone, We have been using Bontech supps for almost a year with very good success. Like most parents on here although i am quite happy about the success) my real concern is the comming years - he is only 5 yrs old. My question is has anyone using bontech sups (and having good success with them) seen a big increase in tics months or years after using the product. I spoke with the person who sells these sups and she said she has never heard of the "big increase" as time went by. And so I'm just looking for more input. Thanks to evryone who responds.

Hi Patty, Thanks for the tip. Could i ask how you treat your child's allergies? Also, it's terrific that he is 95% better. Do you attribute that mostly to allergy treatment, or are you doing alot of other things?
-
Hi emma1, We have been using Bontech fish oil and we think it works very well for both our kids. You can find them on the net by doing a search under Bontech vitamins. I hope this is helpful.
-
Hi, our son and myself have great success with Bontech supplements. We also are on a VERY restrictive diet. Tics are down about 95 %. I would give them a try if i were you. Also, if you can find a good environmental dr. they can be very helpful - as ours is.

How do you get through the day listening to the vocal tics?
itsme replied to tlkinser's topic in Tourette Syndrome and Tics
Hello, I don't know your history (what you tried) but have you ever tried Bontech Supplements. They work well for me and my son. Also, we are on a very strict diet. -
Praise be to God. He who started a good work in you shall complete it! Taste and see that the lord is good, His mercy endures forever. Excellent prayer C.P. Let us all remember who is in control! And as we are all here looking out for and trying sooo hard to help our kids - how much more so is our perfect God for us.
-
Hi rosbud, our son and myself have had very good success with bontech vits for the past 8 months.
-
Excellent question Pamela, I too want to take our son but not quite sure if it's worth it. A quick survey is a great idea. Thanks to all who respond.

Hi Jkc When our son started binking alot i knew it was TS since i've had TS for 30 years. I immediately started giving him "bontech" sups and they have helped alot. We also have him on a very restricted diet and took him to an environmental dr who ran alot of tests on him. Basically they do blood work to see where the deficiencies are in a person. Our son has been doing very well for the past 3 months. There are many people on here with very similar experiences who have greatly benefitted from vitamins, diet changes and allergy help. I'm sure they will be along soon to offer you comfort and support. It would probably be a good idea to go to a dr who can give you a proper diagnosis before you do to much. I would also continue paging thru the many threads on this forum....there is sooo much useful information. Hope this is helpful.

New here, need some help re: 5 yr old son
itsme replied to tlkinser's topic in Tourette Syndrome and Tics
Hi tlkinser, Some things that have helped me and my kids alot are "Bontech" vitamins and changing our diet - that is, not eating ANYTHING that has artificial anything in it. Our environmental dr. has helped us with the diet and supplementation (other than Bontech vits). Our son was ticcing alot 5 months ago, and now is ticcing very minimally. I to have been ticcing moderately for 30 yrs. and now the tics are decreased about 60% and i beleive (hope) we will improve even more in the comming months. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. -
Hi hcelesteanderson, I'm very sorry to hear about your situation. However I am happy to tell you that you've come to the right place for the supportive help that you need right now. Me and my son have TS. He is 5 yrs old and developed it the end of last year. I have had it for 31 yrs and just always lived with it without a big deal. However, when i saw my son develope it last year i knew i had to do something. So i did a ton of research including info from this web site and many others, also Shelila Rodgers book "Tics and Tourette's" was very helpful. One of the best things I believe you can do is to try to find an environmental Dr. that can run some tests on your child. We did that and after the tests he designed a program of strict diet and vitamins. The vitamins we use are Fish oil capsules and "Bontech supplements" which can be found on the internet simply by typing in bontech supplements. With this program our son's symptoms have decreased about 95%. And the truely amazing thing is that my symptoms - for the first time in my life have decreased about 70%. So it turns out (as God whispers to me for the millionth time - "Just believe") that what i thought was our biggest curse, is really our greatest blessing!) I hope this provides some help and encouragement to you. And please don't hesiate to ask us more questions and research the many helpful threads on this forum
