IVIG has helped alot of kids... if you have the right doctor. Is it a cure? who knows,but it does help at least for us it did but my dd is only 5 it is a hard choice to make Tracie

At the last pandas melt down my dd said that everything tasted like paint she stopped eating she is 5.. that scared me so bad.. but she would drink stuff so that helped It is the pandas,because they can't make up there mind on what they want. we are 15 weeks post ivig and she eats fine now,still no hambuger but that don't bother me she will eat most things and I do make special meals for her when I know she wont eat what we are having but most of the time we all eat what I cook,but I also cook what she will eat. and sometimes she would help me in the kitchen so she could see what I was doing (like make the salad) and she could put into it what she liked..sometimes that would work sometimes it would not. We have Anthem Blue cross and we are still waiting......... it has been 4 months I dont think we are going to get anything back I dont know what they want, it is expermential to them sooooo? That is why we did not wait for them to get ivig we just did it.

Thanks,that is what I have read to, we are on the PANDAS forum for our dd but this is for my neice she has a 2 year old son who has this.. Our kids can't win anymore!! if it's not one thing it is another I guess as the saying goes God only gives us what we can handle.. I hope a speech Therapist can help him,he can't say nothing as of right now Tracie

So what does the doc want you to do that said he has PANDAS? I am sorry that you are having to go through this. I would call dr.k or have your doc call him. Tracie

100%?!?! This is awesome news! Remind me, please, how old is your DD? And what is your post-IVIG treatment? Are you on low-dose, prophylactic abx, or continuing on with high-dose like XR for a bit? Thanks for the good news! Our dd will be 6 in June we are doing 1/2 teaspoon everyday for 1 year of zith.

Hello, The only thing I can say is that going to Dr K was THE BEST THING WE DID for our daughter!!!! IVIG has brought her back to 100% she is awesome and I pray that she stays that way dr k seems to think that she will. Thank god for giving him the brains to be able to help our kids. we are 14 weeks post ivig and going strong! Tracie&Doug

Hello, We did not do the cam test but we ran ALL of the blood tests and on paper ore daughter looked great.... But we know she has PANDAS we took her to do ivig with dr.k and we are 12 week post and she is doing great.. I hold my breath when I say that So... have you talk to Dr K? Tracie

We went to Dr K he has been doing this for a long time.. we are 12 weeks post ivig and going great. He Never left our side unless for lunch or to check on a different kiddo,but he was always there.. Tracie

We are still waiting for BCBS to make up there mind and it has been almost 3 months since our first IVIG with Dr k BUT our daughter is doing great and that is what is most important... Tracie

Hello, We started down that road.. But thankgoodness we had a apt with Dr .K for IVIG the next week. She said everything tasted like paint!! we are 10 week post ivig and life looks good again I pray everyday that the PANDAS is gone forever I look foward to all of the good days,just in case all of the bad ones come back Today I am taking her to regester her for kindergarten (again) and she is so exicted to go!!! Hello, do you have a web site that you use for homeschool? My daughter is 10 weeks post IVIG and she was pulled out from school also.. We are going to try Kindergarten or test into first grade this fall but who knows if she will make it..we pray that she does. I am just thinking about what I may need to do if I need to homeschool her Thanks, Tracie
