I posted on his thread but I think it was a good clip that just needed to be a full show. I just think it's impossible to say what we all want said in such a small frame. I was happy to see the few other things mentioned like separation issues and anxiety besides just the tic and ocd but of course that is just a tiny speck of the whole big picture.

It is amazing to me how well Lauren appears to be handling all this and what a good attitude she seems to have about it. I hope they can get things sorted out for her soon.

So, what did you all think?

Thank you Lauren and Lauren's Mom for all your efforts here-- I know I am not alone when I say that I hope it is resolved for you soon.

Great Job Dr. Trifiletti--again, thank you.

I am very grateful to Lynn, Lauren, and Dr. Trifiletti for what they are doing to get the word out about PANDAS. I do agree that Lauren seems to be handling this very well, and I think Lynn is doing an amazing job of helping Lauren and bringing much needed attention to this disorder at the same time. Dr. T, in my opinion, had a real challenge in trying to explain PANDAS in the limited time he had, but he did a great job and touched on some of the most important points, I think, in the time he was given. Lynn mentioned the need for more research, and I think this comment can go a long way. I am hopeful that there will be additional follow ups and that many more kids (including those currently undiagnosed) will be helped. Thanks again, Lynn, Lauren, and Dr. T! You have my full support and admiration.

I just watched it. I would have liked to have more Trifiletti and have more credibility given to him (i.e., number of kids he's seen, differential to other OCD or tic disorders, time spent researching this topic)... but it came across fine.

Hoping that the family gets some downtime -- I can't even imagine how tiring this must be --

I agree with what everyone has said. It came across fine but there was just not enough time to get into the details. I hope Lauren continues to improve and then they will have everyone back on. I feel like that might be more beneficial. This might have been a bit premature because they seem to want to put too many disclaimers in that this MIGHT be the issue and there COULD be other issues.

But, Dr. T, Lauren and Lynn all did great jobs!

I am recording Dr. Nancy and I hope Dr. T will have more time to get into details.

I am so curious as to what antibiotic and dose Lauren is on. Does anyone know? It is so great to hear the word "PANDAS" on National TV. It is about time!

We have spent the last two days around medical professionals and I have gotten a plug in for PANDAS with EVERYONE (even the receptionists!) that I possibly could. Lauren, has given everyone a sweet little face to identify with. Lynn and Lauren both have a lot of calm grace and I thought they were wonderful. Dr T didn't get enough time, but was great with what he was able to say. I agree with pixiesmommy sentiment too.

Just watched it online, too.

As others have said - Lynn, Lauren, and Dr. T did an awesome job in the far too brief time allotted.

But SO encouraging to see this kind of attention and the heightened awareness it should bring!!!

I was curious to know how many here have seen Dr. T for the PANDAS treatment? Does he take insurance? I am so happy he is speaking out publicly and helping our PANDAS kiddos. It is about time a Dr. does go public with this. Where is Sweedo? She ought to be up there helping him too since this is her disorder she founded. It is very exciting for us to watch. I wish Dr. Nancy wouldn't be so dismissive about it all, but I guess she is staying neutral.

Bonnie Hunt this Fri. with Beth and Sammy. How cool is this? What does Lauren's current treatment consist of? Does anyone know the amounts and type of meds she is currently taking? I know steroids and antibiotics but which ones and how much? Lauren and Lyn and Dr. T a big thank you. You did great.

HI,

Dr T will take insurance for the rest of the year, then he's going off it. That was the impression he gave me, he is now in private practice and does not want to waste a lot of time on insurance issues.

He does say on his website that noone will be turned away, regardless of ability to pay. That you can work out a scale of payment.

Unfortunately, I think business will start picking up for him. You all know what I mean when I say "unfortunately."
