  1. I would make a prescription as detailed as possible for deduction. This is what I do for all of them. Would have dr. Write on prescription pad and mention exact area in home etc. Looking at past tax court rulings or finding someone who has been audited or finding an expert tax person to give you advice are the only other options that I can think of.
  2. DS hates the taste of coconut oil, but we found it in capsule form. We've been giving it to both DS's for about 1 1/2 years. Stopped for several weeks as a trial, and during that time he started getting depressed, and having more neuro symptoms. Just started him back on it 2 days ago. Seems to be happier. I don't know for sure that it's related, but for now, at least, I'm going to assume that it is. Wish there was a 'Like' button on this forum.
  3. Momwith...I hope you realize your son is amazing! Thanks for sharing! Ozimum--Totally, have heard this recently from my 15 yrs. old! His Psych. today said it is perfectly normal for his age.
  4. Just heard at a presentation at vit. store that virgin coconut oil is also a good anti-viral and anti-bacterial which can only help.
  5. Thank you for the article...very interesting. One point not mentioned is that the government finances quite a bit of research at colleges. Not sure where the line is drawn in terms of 'conflict of interest.' Very thought provoking!

  7. Have not seen yet, but it looks interesting. http://healthybuildingscience.com/2013/02/14/mold-testing-air-quality/
  8. Interesting that I just read on cat litter bag that certain people, including immune compromised should not clean litter boxes.
  9. Is your dd on an anti-fungal? It seems this would be something to do right away. The last one my son was on was tinidazoloe, rather strong but helped quickly with symptoms. There are many others too.
  10. Last time dr. Had son do Tinidazole for ears/sinuses. Seemed to do the trick at least short term. Seems maintenance is necessary at some point once infection cleared per www.betterhealthguy.com.
  11. Have you been to www.betterhealthguy.com website? He addresses these and so do many dr. at the 'physicians Table 2012' outline on his site. Great that you have found some things to treat. My ds has done 2 full-treatments and several maintenance treatments for parasites. After 2+ years of treatment son seems to be holding steady (no lyme/coinfections; parasites etc.). Now if we can only get immune system to re-boot and take care of viruses we would really be excited! Its like the drs. have to get/keep your child healthy with meds until it is able to work on its own again (of course we would all love to see this!). Best wishes on continuing treatment!
  12. After two ERMI tests and not knowing what else to do, we had an environmental contractor do some testing and made some changes based on his results. Same as jjl.
  13. My ds15 is going thru some similar stuff and he would be willing to talk/text him if he would like that. PM me.
  14. Thank you so much for posting this video. Both my son and I thoroughly enjoyed it! With all the struggles and challenges we face every day, I try to get any positive messages/experiences to be part of our day.
  15. Think you are right on! My son had many rashes during his 'lyme and co' treatment but has not had many, if at all, in the 6 mos. - year of treatment. He was also on Valtrex for many months. Hopefully, healing will continue!!!
  16. It seems a lot of lyme patients have sinus issues. Betterhealthguy.com uses nasal wash just like he does toothpaste, on a regular basis. Here are some he recommends: -sinu Soothe -Propolit (made from propolis - from honey bees) -Manuka honey (mixed with saline--100cc saline/1 tsp honey) He has others on his site, but some burn, so you may not want to use those! My son is currently being treated for abx-resistant staph, for the second time! When treatment is over, we are going to have a regular (every few days) nasal spray. Hope you find something that helps.
  17. Sounds like you have one smart son! Just another thought since you are on the 'lyme cocktail.' When my son was on artemisin in his 'cocktail' he really reacted at the beginning of treatment. I was always lowering the dosage because of it. A little while ago he was put on it again at full dosage and did not react much at all after more than 2 yrs. treatment. He is no longer on it. Also, did I give you the name/brand of our chlorella already? It is still a good price (although it just went up $20 a bottle!) and has 1900 tabs for ~$75. If not, PM me. TAke care.
  18. There are different strains of chlorella of which some are more difficult to digest. My son does 25 3xday. They are very small so he swallows a lot at once. The brand we use has been ' muscled tested,' to make sure of its' purity and the company has purchased equipment (after the nuclear problems in Japan) just to check product purity. It is 'health Force' brand. This one is'chlorella pyrenoidosa.' The easier-to-digest type is'chlorella vulgaris' per our dr.
  19. I wonder if the high vit. D is to protect against the widespread flu in our state right now?
  20. The dr. did not explain why the pulsing of the vit. D (of course she charges by the minute and knows that there is little insurance coverage so she tries to make appts. quick. :0). Did get the dosing wrong tho - 8 drops 4 times a day for 2 days only, pause 3 weeks, and repeat twice. Just picked it up today so will give it a try and report any favorable outcomes. The B12 spray costs $35 for 2 oz. Apparently, not everyone muscles tests 'good' for them on this. Dut-Hope things are going well for your family right now. So difficult to find time to get on this forum anymore. Take care.
  21. My dh has been enjoying the B12 injections but today dr. said they have found a product that works just as well without injections... ReadiSorb B12. Just started ds on it today. Couple sprays under tongue daily. Red colored liquid. Front desk did not have price yet. Should find out in a day or two. Also, trying something for viruses that seems odd... BioDEmulsion forte... 2 days 4x day...pause 3 weeks...repeat. These are in drop form. Anyone try these? Have been using BioAMulsion for quite a while now.
  22. Mimosa Pudica for 3 months (slowly increasing dosage) Dr. K Protocol: Biltricide - 2 days; then, Ivermectin - 4 weeks; then, Alinia - 4 weeks We have done Dr. K protocol about 3 times in the last 2+ yrs. We are still waiting for immune system to get working properly again, hence the repeated treatments. There are many posts about this on the PANDAS forum as well. HOpe this helps.
  23. FYI -- All of the Jarrow brand vitamins/supplements that we have had 'muscle-tested', so far, tested well, which means no pesticides/chemicals etc. that would be harmful to the body. Also, Vitamin Shoppe 'Sun Chlorella' tested well back when we were using it several months ago. Best wishes on continued healing thru this next new year!
  24. The Nux Vomica has 'no side effects' whatsoever that I know of except they taste sweet. A poison! Yikes! Have never heard that! ND prescribed this for after T&A which was the first time we used it. Does not require any prescription.
