Doing Dr. Shoemaker's tests tells you if you are reacting to neurotoxins and the first part of treatment is not being around mold. So, you may want to check where you are living first to see if that may even be a possibility (ERMI test). The test lists around 65 molds, the 1st part of the report are indoor molds, and 2nd part are outdoor. Many of them cause cancer etc. If paying for the ERMI test is too much for your budget, then you may want to find a dr. that does the Dr. Shoemaker tests/protocol and hopefully insurance would cover it. Eventually, though, if the tests point to 'mold' you then have to deal with looking at your living quarters as a possible source. Our dr. only did some of Dr. Shoemaker's tests a nd it seems most, if not all of them, were covered by insurance. Dr. Shoemaker is currently in the process of certifying doctors in his protocol so they may have a list of dr.'s that have been certified at www.survivingmold.com Probably a good thing you are looking into this as those with immune issues can be affected more than others by the nuerotoxins in mold. With that said, mold is not good for anyone's health.

This was from a facebook discussion from a person who researches things very well and lives in Europe: You can also buy Cyclopheron - this is in particular against viruses (retroviruses, entero, etc) PubMed: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20201401 http://www.polysan-ru.com/products/cycl/tab/Those are tablets, I use injections. I think this compnay might help you with that. I do courses of 2 months 2-3 times a year. Usually you do injections on 1st day, 2nd, then every 2 days for 5 shots, then every 3 days for 5 shots, then every week. http://portal1.democms.ru/resources/files/INSTRUCTION-for-Cycloferon-ampoules.pdfn adults Cycloferon is recommended during combined therapy of: - HIV infection (stages 2A-3B), - neural infections (aseptic (serous) meningitis, encephalitis, and Lyme di sease),- viral hepatitis A, B, C, and D, - herpes and cytomegalovirus infections, - secondary immunodeficiency, associated with acute and chronic bacterial and fungal infections, - chlamydial infections, - rheumatic and systemic connective tissue diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus), - degenerative joint diseases (osteoarthritis deformans etc.). In children over 4 years old Cycloferon is recommended during combined therapy of: - viral hepatitis A, B, C, D, and GP, - herpes infections, - HIV infection (stages 2A-3B)."

While you are waiting, you could do regular Motrin dosing to keep any inflammation down. Sorry, in a hurry.

Info. on getting IVIG approved
JuliaFaith replied to JuliaFaith's topic in PANS / PANDAS (Lyme included)
Anyone know about this test? -
Personally we have not done this but it seems quite a few on this forum are, so thought this might be interesting. Someone said they had IVIG covered after doing this test. The article does seem more related to ASD but has some interesting observations. Anne Connolly--"This lab tests for antibodies to brain endothelial cells. If positive, it indicates an inflammatory response in the brain." Http://www.icdrc.org/documents/Anne Connolly article 1.pdf

Can not find Doctor in Canada
JuliaFaith replied to lovemylittleguy's topic in PANS / PANDAS (Lyme included)
We have a Natureopathic Doctor (also MD in office that treats in US 1 month then Europe next month switching every month) in the Seattle area that treats the whole body to heal a patient. There was someone from Vancouver in their office last week. PM me if you are interested. FYI--my mom is Canadian Good Luck! -

Before starting lyme treatment, our dr. did anti-parasite/worm protocol; prescribed 'rock rose tea - cistus incantus' to get rid of biofilm so treatment can work; checked for KPU; Hair test for heavy metals(insurance covered) and vit. absorbtion; thyroid blood tests. This gets your body ready for lyme treatment. Dr. has always supplemented with some minerals too especially when on abx. We used "CORE" for a few months in the beginning of lyme treatment, but now use a liquid mineral in water/juice. Thankfully, my son has not muscle tested for lyme for quite a few months now. We have never done IVIG but my son seemed to present different than most on this forum. Best wishes on healing. -
Smartyjones- Insurance only pays some of the time and when it does not our dr. has an impromptu short appt. every visit just in case. . This is another md that son has seen in the past.

Have you checked for viruses?
JuliaFaith replied to trintiybella's topic in PANS / PANDAS (Lyme included)
Brazil nuts (4) are a great source of selenium. Are you treating for high thyroid #'s? Viruses are my son's main problem right now. Would definitely check for them. Vaktrex is one med. for these. My son also takes liquid minerals every time he is on abx. -

*@!$ - oral surgery for ds
JuliaFaith replied to smartyjones's topic in PANS / PANDAS (Lyme included)
Having just went to a seminar where "cavitation" was mildly discussed by those in the audience, would make sure if anything pulled that the area underneath is cleaned bacterially very well. Mentioned was that some dentists use coloidal silver to clean the area thoroughly before doing any stitches. Just another idea outside the norm. -
Children - treatment and outcome

S&S--wish there was a "Like" button on this forum. -
Just another thought as usual coming from the less is better perspective. My son is doing neurofeedback which is like exercising the two sides of the brain and helping them work together. He has only had about 6-8 treatments so far and definitely sees improvement (and I do) in focus, less depression, thinking etc. The dr. has him rate about 10 different things each visit. All he does is watch a movie while it is happening so treatment is fun. When he missed 2 visits with an illness recently, he could really tell the difference (so could I!). Have read that it takes at least 20 visits to really make it stick. We did some make-up visits when he missed the 2 weeks. Apparently, you can do many within a short amount of time. We just do weekly for payment/insurance issues usually. Thank you for the information on the brain activity-it really makes sense with what I see in my son.

Hello again! Since no one else has answered your questions, thought I would pass this note found in records along to you. On my dh test results I wrote: Abs. CD8-CD57+ Lymphs -- that over 100 is 'good.' [his result was 104] His %CD8-CD57+ was 6.5 His is fairly healthy with a few chronic sinus issues and over 50. Hope you have answers or will get more soon. -
The Bemer is a mat you can lay on or put on different areas of the body that increases the microcirculation in the body. We have a practitioner that does treatments or you can buy your own. They are quite expensive! You can look them up at www.beamingbody.com Apparently, they are being used for healing athletes' injuries quicker, boost immune system, better sleep etc. They have done scientific studies and it is now FDA approved in the U.S. Have been using them in Europe for a long time. Seems like it might be a good complement to a lot of treatment being done on this forum. One woman in the seminar had bought one to use for winter depression and it helped that and got rid of her arthritis in her hands which surprised her! Take care!

Thank you so much for posting. Don't know why but I have a good feeling about your treatment with the Rife! Wish you the best! Just test-drove the Bemer today and it seems that might be a good complement to the Rife??? It can cause fatigue in the beginning tho. With patient's being prescribed the wrong medication as the 3rd leading cause of the death in the U.S., it makes you want to look at other healing methods that have worked for others in places like Europe. Best wishes on healing and look forward to your posts. Take care!

Do not understand the CD-57 results either. My son's were different altogether. The high Glucose could be borderline diabetes according to my recent dr. visit. Mine was close to yours and natureopathic said to eat 5 small meals a day. 10 almonds could be one (protein/fat). She said to have some protein before going to sleep at night as well. We are seeing if diet will take care of it. But the high BUN # can be connected to kidney stress--my son has it right now! This could be from pharmacueticals. We are supplementing with a kidney tincture and a drink with several ingredients. My son takes 8,000 IU vit. D a day and I take 5,000 IU a day. My appt. was for annual checkup and am pretty healthy but my Vit. D was at 25. We have been trying to get my son's up for another treatment. I also live in an area that does not see a lot of sun every day. :/ Hope this helps and best wishes on treatment! -
Thank you so much for sharing- very happy to hear you are on a healing path. . After parasite, lyme, nutritional changes in the last 2 yrs., my son is finding quite a lot of relief from headaches, thinking, depression etc.with neurofeedback. Keep healing--take care!

For some children, whose PANDAS is related to the T cells matured in the Thymus, their exacerbations my lessen or resolve when the Thymus begins to shut down and turn into adipose tissue at puberty. For other children, onset can begin in teens if there are other antibodies/pathogens at the root of the cause. Technically, pediatric means anything before final maturity....height, brain development, etc. You will find that it depends on whom you talk to. Thank you for this info. Still trying to find time to research more.

According to this book, our hormones begin going down after age 28. Had my son when I was 37. Wondering if child's hormones are permanently affected by mothers reduction in them? Mayzoo-I wonder if there is a blood test to test hormones? Sounds like a possible connection with your daughter. Ummmm...will try to do some research today. Will look at pubmed site and see if any clinical studies on it. (If possible).

Reading a book called 'Sex, Lies, and Menopause' (homework given by my dr.). and they are discussing how hormones affect brain inflammation. It just occurred to my very analytical brain that there could be a connection to discussions on here. Anyone know about this connection? Have never seen a discussion relating the two before. Any ideas?

We use a BioPure Electrolyte product that looks like water. We add 1 Tbl. to bottle of water. You can see the ingred. on the BioPUre site. We also add 2 Tbl. BioPure Matrix Minerals. This is after over 2 yrs. of treatment and every time my son takes abx this is always part of treatment. (Also, add BioPure Galactose and M-water) Supposed to be kidney support as well. PM me if you want a website to get these for a good $. Best wishes on healing...

Interesting thoughts! Have been trying to get signatures to have GMO foods labeled in our state recently.

Just thought this was interesting. Three years ago when my son had his first major exacerbation, he acquired a tic in his throat that was very unique sounding. It lasted 7 mos. and 22 days and disappeared. Then at 2 1/2 years he had his second major exacerbation and got the same tic. Now, 7 months and a few days his tic is almost gone, just like last time. Wonder if it relates to the neurotransmitters taking months to a year to heal?
