  1. My dd10 had this for 6-9 months, maybe longer, back when she was six.
  2. RNmom- may I ask what is LV/GB (detox)? thx
  3. My daughter reacts to claritin, singulair, zyrtex...just about all of them.
  4. But sooo brave and strong! I hope his day gets better. Is tomorrow the last day of treatment? Hang in there!
  5. Wilma- I agree with S&S - you're a true warrior!! Please don't make any changes or discontinue treatment without discussing with her doctor first. You see him soon - correct? Hang in there!
  6. Yes, thanks, figured it out right after I pushed the post button. Again, so glad to hear of your success - may it continue!
  7. Thank you for posting this - really uplifted my spirits today. Since being off of antibiotics for elevated liver enzymes (except for 7 days of keflex for possible staph infection) my daughter seems to be slowly trending downwards. I'm so happy for you! Can you explain to me how Tindamax helps protoect from c-diff. I did not know that. thx
  8. I would also look at yeast or dental issues as a possible cause.
  9. Sorry philamom, I didn't notice it was an old post! Feels like yesterday. It was kinda nice to read through peglem's link again, since were dealing with elevated titers.
  10. Be sure to keep up the probiotics while on PPIs, because taking them could increase the risk of c-diff. Stomach acid keeps c-diff down. PPIs keep stomach acid below the level of protection against c-diff. My experience with this: dd started with GERD in Nov 2010. Doctor put her on prevacid in December. I had a conversation with the owner of Custom Probiotics who suggested that my daughter should probably not take prevacid due to her history of c-diff in 2006. He said you need some acid to balance out the good/bad bugs. I went back and asked the doctor, who said there is no relation to the prevacid. In April 2010, she got c-diff while still on it. FWIW.
  11. Well, this post is nine months old, but I don't recall a number related with the streptozyme result - just positive or negative. Our doctor ordered it along with the ASO & D-NASE.
  12. The first lump looked more like cellulitis photos. Maybe it was a bunch of nodules together forming a larger area (like the size of a chalkboard eraser). Or maybe it was infected. It's better, but still slightly inflammed and hardened under the skin. The new lumps are on the other leg (bottom of shin & above knee). Thanks for the link!
  13. Thanks Laura. I heard it can be from many different causes, from viral, to strep. My daughter has lumps - it's not like pus-filled warts. They are very painful and warm to the touch. They ran a handful of labs today, to rule out any underlying cause.
  14. Has anyone had this? I know it can be caused from different things and sometimes go away on its own. I was just wondering the level of pain you (or your child) experienced from it. Thank you.
  15. Good luck to Danny this week!!
  16. LymeAid 4 Kids (LA4K)- fund for children who do not have/received insurance coverage for treatment and have economic difficulties.
  17. Bulldog- Maybe you could check out "Lyme Aid 4 Kids" for help with lyme testing. It sounds like you may be eligble. Sending prayers!
  18. Tamistwins- keeping my fingers crossed for your son - that is great news!!!
