OCD & NAET

my son had a number of professional CBT sessions and the therapist taught him and me much. It isnt hard to continue CBT with a parent or even on one's own, as my son does now that he is adult. He has learned the coping skills and the ability for self analysis. It really is a solid foundation for anyone struggling with OCD

Thanks Chemar and Pat for the feedback!

It seems I recently discovered that he is having OCD. He would always tell me nothing is wrong and have alot of anger towards me when I though something was wrong. I would just see that look in his eye (must be a mother thing because my husband though I was crazy). But anyway as I started opening up to him about me worrying about things he started opening up to me. It was a gradual process because he would get very upset if I would ask him anything in the past . I had no clue until I started reading more of Faith's experiences. Anyway I got this book from Amazon "What To Do When Your Brain Gets Stuck" and introduced it to him as if I got it for myself. Within the first 5 pages he started opening up and telling me that it's hard to not think of the bad things that will happen if he does not do the things. Wow!! I am happy that we are able to talk about it now without the fights. I was just curious if this is something I could help him with or if he will need therapy. He was always a worrier which does run in the family. Should I try it on my own first or go to therapy?? I just know that it took a long time for him to open up to me and as of know trulely beleive there is no way he will tell a stranger what he worries about. I could bet that it would totally stress him out. So do I wait and see what happens or what?? It has not taken over his life but now I know where the irratability and some anger comes from. I could see and pinpoint it now. But am glad that the line of communication between us is open and he has me to come to for comfort and I understand.

Thanks for listening.

I would also recommend NAET. It involves energy blockages in the body which can cause all kinds of issues claimed to be "uncureable" by the conventional medical world like arthritis herpes and the like. I've seen NAET get rid of a serious case of Autism and OCD in a young child...he is practically normal now. I would give it a serious shot!

My son has had NAET one time for corn and it really didn't seem like it worked to me. We were suppose to go back but twice we had bad roads because of snow. So, we haven't returned yet. But for that time, they didn't stick a needle in my son as a person earlier had posted. For him, they gave him the vial and a specific color glasses (his were blue) that are suppose to help with the specific problems. She then took a tool and hit points along his spine, shoulders and body. Then he had to continue to hold the vial for an additional 10 minutes I think. Afterwards, no food containing corn for 25 hours which was very difficult but we did it.
