Kayanne Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 I'm sure that he is a wonderful TS doctor and researcher, but Kurlan is a PANDAS naysayer who has published with Singer. I just registered. It is free, so it will be interesting to see what he has to say in light of the Columbia study and all of the press that PANDAS has been receiving.....I've never done anything like this before...is a webcam required? Does anyone have experience with these types of things. I think it is important to hear what he has to say...even if we don't agree with him. I would urge anyone who can to sign up because space is limited. ~Karen
EAMom Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 hmmm. yeah, Roger Kurlan. I even wonder about the title as PANDAS supporters don't say strep causes TS. They say strep can trigger symptoms (tics) that mimic (or could be misdagnosed as) TS. BIG difference. Let us know how it goes Kayanne.

Yes - Kurlan is for sure one of the PANDASantagonists. Based on that, I don´t think this is to be seen as a positive result of the word getting out - but as an attempt to help doctors argue/resist, when parents insist, that their child might have PANDAS and/or that their child should be treated with Azithromycin, IVIG, PEX ... :-( As such I find it very positive, that "space is limited" :-) (and that most of the participants might end up being parents to PANDASchildren ;o) ).
thereishope Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 You just put the biggest smile on my face! Thank you so much for having such courage! I will stick my neck out. Not only is this guy a non-believer .... He is the anti-Christ of PANDAS. He is the reason I left Morristown. One day, if he has the guts, he can hold a public forum on this. Maybe a few hundred parents can attend and hold a "tea party" .... Dr. T

Ya know...I've been accused of having ADD, so my attention may wander...sooo about letting you know how it went...maybe I can. On another note, my DH was happy to hear of the this, and he told me to register him too before all the slots are taken because after all, space is limited.

Excuse me if i'm misunderstanding.....But doesn't Dr K thnk that it's possible that strep can cause TS? Or is that not what is being said, but instead is questioning this correlation all together?

sf_mom Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 THANKS for saying it publicly!!!!!!! We all knew the truth.
