So Sad

Giselle

Recommended Posts

Someone should change the subject to SO HAPPY! :-)..

It just shows that we are overly focus and worry about his TS and forget all about his talent.

If you have confident in yourself and if you have only 1 leg to stand on..you still walk faster than the person

with 2 legs but lack confidence.

Who knows what his confidence does to his TS..probably cure him too..

He will be less conscious about his tics and enjoy his new found freedom which is singing..

The lesson I learn here is not to focus so much on my child's tic but on his potential..

and encourage him everyday..

Thanks Giselle..

That is great news. How hard it must have been to step out of the way and wait for God to answer the prayers. He changes peoples hearts so often and I love when we get to see it!! Hoyt is very lucky to have a mom who is so devoted to him - even if he doesn't realize it right now. Definitely stock up on your kleenex it will be well used!

SO HAPPY! :D Hoyt did wonderfully! He was great! He didn't tic at all as I expected but apparently there was SOME movement up there - he told me "my knees were knocking together I was so nervous!" You would never have known it though. There was about 600 people there and everyone loved it. I was taking NO chances - he soaked in a magnesium bath for 40 minutes before he had dinner. Dinner consisted of grass fed beef, artichokes, brown rice and a little extra B12!

The cutest part was that he told the girl he's had a crush on for two years that she looked pretty and that her dress was nice. She waited awhile and then told him "you look so handsome." He was over the moon about THAT! What a great night!

Thank you all for your support in this :) - it totally turned out perfectly and he was SO proud of himself!!!

Giselle,

You and your son were on my mind all night, and I couldn't wait to see if you were going to let us know how it went. I knew deep down it was going to go great. Just a peace I guess. (easy for me to say it wasn't my son up there.) What a beautiful Christmas Blessing for you and your family.

Giselle,

I am so glad your child did so well in his performance but I can not help

but why we as a parent always try to find out if the child tics or not during his performance.

It happens to me too..and I regretted to say I missed some of his performance because I was busy

noticing if he tics..

Congrats overall

Daniel, you're so totally right! It just so happens he's doing really well right now and I really didn't expect him to tic at all so wasn't really looking at that, more at whether he would get the words correct because there were two verses that are so similar as only a few words change in them (he got them right) - but thought you all might like to know as this is the board for it.

He was so tired this morning he didn't want to go to school - and even mused why would they have school after such an exciting event? I told him it was for people to be able to tell him he did a good job - he perked right up after that! :) Such a ham! You know I never get to use this icon :D but today I can, he's my little star!!!!

Thanks to everyone!

Ah Giselle,

I love your story, it is such a happy one, it just made my day today.

I read somewhere that life is really like a pearl necklace, where it is actually composed of very special memories (ie each pearl). This was one of those moments that you can cherish forever, the song and the girl crush.

Hi Giselle,

I just wanted to let you know that I can empathize with you on that feeling of exclusion whether it's yourself someone close to you. I am a young teen with TS and I know how certain people can be about it. The good thing is that TS is becoming more widely known and accepted. I'm so glad that you son was treated equally. :(
