Interesting. I couldn't see the full-text without paying for it. I wonder how much sugar is needed(in kid terms) to have this effect.

before anyone starts force feeding their kids sugar lol do remember that sugars also feed candida and candida(yeast) overgrowth exacerbates all kinds of things!

Hmmmm....my PANDAS son has a ridiculous sweet tooth - but we just always thought he took after his Abuelo who is just as bad...maybe his body knows something we don't!!! :)

Ironically, once we discovered his sweet tooth had no limits, we started buying the Voortman cookies with Omega 3 in them (the oatmeal have 750 mg per cookie) and keep those within easy reach. He thinks he's "sneaking" treats, but actually, we're "sneaking" his Omega 3 intake without him knowing!

On a similar tangent....a nursing friend of mine turned me onto giving honey pollinated by bees within a 10 mile radius of your home. The antioxidants are unbelievable, but it's got to be from bees local to you. Google beekeepers in your area and many sit out jars of honey in an honor system near their farms/homes.

Just 3 teaspoons spread throughout the day.

my son has had great results from local raw honey for his Crohn's symptoms too :)

re healing with honey, I was bitten on the foot when I accidentally stepped on a cat's tail under a bush while gardening. The bite was quickly infected and I was given antibiotics but it really would not clean and heal. A friend told me to soak gauze in honey and leave it on for 24 hours, under a bandage.

I did and yup, all infection gone and the wound began to heal from that day onward.....

Our pediatrician has always pushed honey for coughs...and it works!

Yep honey works... not all night but long enough for my dd to get to sleep

and I agree with you I thought my dd just had a BIG TIME sweet tooth

but mabey her body is on to something.. I just make sure she brushes her teeth

more.. I am not worried about her weight because she weighs nothing as it is..

( I wish that was me :)

my dd will do anything for Chocolate.....
