have not done meds...ds had some of these issues..maybe still some.... did brain balance program and that seemed to help quite abit with that.. i would focus on gettting good sleep..add melitonin if needed..maybe even .5mg..... then maybe if not too scared..fish oil with higher dha than epa as epa is more stimulating.... try to wake him up earlier and do exercises ..BEFORE school...push ups, sit ups, jumping jacks..for 20 miniutes... study just came out also ...that those who execided before testing had better test scores.... possibly related to being better able to focus...

Wow..great observation..and something to think about...bullying triggering symptoms...and not really symptoms ..just trying to stay on guard and safe...or maybe getting in trouble trying to stay out of the way or using defense mechanisms... And yes i think there is a clo could be a key for your child

Did your son screech/scream?. i've upped the probi's to a solid 200-300billion i can only bentonite after school..and that's about 2-3 oz not quite 1/2 cup... milk thistle or burbur 1x a day..i switch. i give him triphala at night...super gentle herb...to help move his bowels..he is always on the constipated side..even though he goes daily..i want to make sure that continues and maybe move things a little more and easier for the system doc does have some concerns he is re-uptaking some of the toxins, die off, by products, and unprocessed anything he also did add cholestyramine ...just read it can be used to treat clostridia...but it is a binder...i might have to call doc back...we dont' need binding?? My head is pounding...he says his neck and throat hurt..no surprise there. I sure hope its not..following info part of that wish I called doc b office in ct and they said he checked out fine for penicillan??and he checked out fine on the other molds...and there should be no cross action with it..i did not talk to dr specifically..my llmd said no cross action..and again it was only 1 mold that showed up... i am thinking, as i look at my notes and the 3 times he did vanco..it looks like disbiosis mostly..comparing why i started vanco its success..why i needed it again and again... if it's not the gut..and he can't take xyz abx's and having a bad reaction to bicillan..we &^%$&!! I would like to see some other traditional herx markers come in...though i vaguely remember some people here saying something to the effect that that never happened for them...but i don't remember if they never herxed at all and just got better...or herxed(in their fashion..ie more mood liablity, more light sentive, more of the neuro stuff and then got better.... and if this is a herx..maybe its just to severe...its brutal...and we need to back off.... i just have to get the vocals gone...and they take a long time...in our experience

Called doc, we are off azith, amox and diflucan going to start vanco and clyndamicyn.... idk..my poor boy..we were so good.... has anyone here on the lymes board or another lymes parent who doesn't post, had to deal with screeches, gutteral screams.....did they go away with lyme treatment He just asked me to come sit by him and read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hi Nola...just checking back... animal parade is a good one.... my son is 11 soon..he takes a fish oil by nordic ultimate dha eye..for eyes ..very high dha...but i think the one you mentioned is good to at least try... try 1 skip a day...try it again..and if still good...try to continue daily remember to try to only start one thing at a time to see if can pinpoint what is going on.... i have 2 other panda kids, i in remission...the other almost there...but i watch them closely the one i mainly post about has had onset since 4/6/09.... at worst point my sons tics were a 7 maybe 8 close to being debilitated....almost had a couple of er runs..but the hospital cant do anything! well up till about 2 weeks ago...ds had been at about 2 on the scale for several months... but we started lymes protocal and all..(*^&^%* has broken loose. part of that is the gut...there is a thread on the lymes board that talks about the vagus nerve, which lies partially lies in your stomach...so if there is something diagreeable or dibiosis, could createm, agrivate neurologic issues.... there is so much that could be varying the conditon...i have figured out some things...but have not gotten to 100% and that is my personal goal... we have had screeches come back and my ears are ringing as we speak...for my ds recent screeches correlate with adding another abx...so i'm thinking something in the abx..or disbisosis(sp).which is very likely the cause....so now we are trying to reconfig abx and trying to straighten out gut...and that will take a long time.... i probably wont be checking here much..got my 3 trying to keep well and so tired myself of trying to heal my ds... I wish you the best...and you can always check out the other forums as they have alot of info on probi's, fish oil and other supplements... i do think if you can get to a good DAN doc they can run some test to see if some of his urine and other markers are off and can maybe help you in what direction to start. Just to let you know..my ds has really bad allergies...so for us we were at do or die... we had to address them before next allergy season...and possibly send him over the edge and that would force my hand into a big gun...because he would definitely suffer and deteriorate when spring hit. Doc b started him a level AA, which is a level below normal, starting level is A ... I swear w/i 24 hours he seemed better...it was almost like a relief for his system... when you are allerigic to EVREY outdoor element plus a few others... Even though i haven't had our windows open in 8 years...it's got to come in on our hair, shoes, opening closing the doors, etc, we were at a no brainer point...but still hard to pull trigger.. We did start Singulair at 10mg about a week before starting shots.. he did have fall allergies though not as bad, but i think they were progressing...and i wanted to help clear his cells before adding more stuff..(i am aware of singluaris problems,,but again zyrtec and such didn't put dent in his conditon....and he has great disposition,,,,so i think i would quickly pick up on other issues) once pollens got to about 0,zero, here is GA that is december)...i droppred his singualre to 5mg...and have been maintaining him there We started level B last week..going for second level B shot today(so we are about 5 months in)...pollen count in 30's last couple of days.. keeping a close eye on his allergy symptoms...and he still looks good... i will know, more in acouple of weeks...(pollen in GA gets to 3300((2009's highest ever peak)) to knew high peak last year at 5600!!!!!!first week of april)..the nex week usually drops to 1500-2000 Now i will say since starting level B...mind you, on that day we also started a lymes protocal, with alot of other variables...things have deteriorated alot... And i am 90% sure it is not do to the shots, but to the many things ds has added to his system... Or maybe it is the pollen outside..just thought of that...we went from 0-30ish quickly...but no allergy symptoms...and again, i don't think its the pollen this time either..(not as confident it's not the actual pollen, but definitley not the shots) sorry for long answer...but i didn't think you were looking for a -"-things are good"- answer

i am usually on pandas board and have done some transistion to lymes.... ds vocals started with biaxin(abx) and a steroid(contra-to lymes)also increases yeast.... they have just come back with introduction of lyme protocal...i have several factors going on....but i just wanted to add that l-carnitine works in the digestive area...so with that you may want to support the digestion with probiotics wether or not you are using abxs.... and i have found i need to get to 200billion...not just the 10 you would get from cultrelle...which is a great probi bye the way... and for panda and autism kids we find it best to stay away from Strepto. therm...so no yogurt for us..it's in all yogurt that i have found.... just my bit of info i have to offer..trying to get my ds to remit vocals...but i felt i had to offer some other possibilities as i saw this when i logged on. ps..on the fish oil...stay as balanced as possible with dha and epa or have a higher dha, as epa is stimulatory...the one you mentioned by nordic is pretty balanced

Thanks mom md!..my aunt(by marraige) was just diagnosed..she is 76-77..VERY active and couldn't understand some problems she was having...no family history(think it just happened recently)...but then again, who would think to check this till recent decade.

i was more curious about vaccines..we have never done flu shots... called school..i was shocked at how nice the nurse was about it..but she does know my son and some of the stuff have found and are trying. Was told if i get doctors note i would have to renew that every year. If i go religion it is permenant but need a cleryman to sign it.

i'm gonna put this out there.. my ds10 and ds 8...both around the time they were5-6 complained of this for a couple days then went away...with first ds, took to heart dock said it was growing pains???(i did not knw ds 8 was a panda kid till recently ..and ds10 was not in episode at the time) it is curious that you had a bicillicna injection 10 days ago...so did my ds..his tics have catapoltied..maybe your dd and my ds are herxing in different ways... day after the shot ds had sore spot in center of chest for a few hours. we are currently pursueing lymes after a mulititude of tests that all keep pointing us in that direction...

Big note came from school saying children will not be given schedule until immunization recards are updated! I am calling tomorrow to find out details....i am just pOed with all this and still trying to get 504..especailly since ramp up and he needs to pass crct to go to 6th grade... tic level is high 1 week post bicillin and aug..from a level 2ish to 6 maybe 7

..just thinking though...when we started the abx trail do to high myco p..igg..with biaxin and steroid is when screech first appeared 3 days in...so was that a herx too and contra-indiction with the steroid?(or yeast)...i yi yi

No typical symptoms of clostridia...just increase in tics..and response to specific abx... i am going to call our dan on monday just to confirm....i don't think you have to have alot of clostridia..some may be more reactive or sensitive to it...by day 12 of 14 day course of vanco screeches would be gone(2x's)...and it was quicker with the clyndamicin i will have to ask doc how we came up the 1st dx..i believe he had other markers that indicated it....and what worked the first time we figured would work again Ds always runs constipated..even with all the abx, when he was at 9000mg of vit C..higher doses of Mag.....Now that i think of it..Cant' constipation be as sign of it too??? I've been checking his movements the last month or so, checking for parasties and such..haven't checked last couple of days, but if i miss i ask him...he just told me he had 3 movements yesterday, all normal...but typically only has 1 a day the other thing is..why is the augmentin so high 1000mg bid..he is only 85 lbs...i thnk sammy was on 875 bid when he was 12 and 100lb something...right? another kid seeing doc b in md..who is only about 8 lbs less, is only on 500 1x a day???? i think it just may be too much for his system to process... Anyway...i really want it to be HERXING...if i felt more confident that it is, he and i can deal with it...but from past experiences....i have some doubts and questions.. i think the scarey part is..we are all trail blazers with pandas/pitands..now trail blazers with this...i just wish there were more ahead of me on this trail Momo..i really appreciate the support and any input...

the screeches are back pretty good again...thought i heard some yesterday...we have not had them in many months.. vocals stopped completely or at least to 99.9% when i did parasite cleanse that also treats candida in december...and again we were 85-95% or even better at times.. do you think it could be clostridia with all those abx and so high on the aug again, been doing milk thistle or bubur once a day and bentonite once a day...50-100 billion probis split through the day.. i think it could be clostridia??!?!..when ever we treated with vanco or clyndamicin they went away each time i have message into docs about allergy and the abx usage... no other alements today...when i woke him at 7 to give meds and stay on sched..he said his throat hurt..but it was gone by 9-10..could be dry air..or i have a cold and just today my ear started to hurt...i don't think i've ever had an ear infection before??? and no i don't think it is a flair do to me....been too busy to be near him .blah blah

Here's a question... ds needs to take diflucan with amox er...because we realized that the joint pain was from all the times we useed it in the past ..it now is just too much wipes out his gut so much that the yeast?? is what the dan said, is getting in the joints causing the pain ..not a reaction to the amox....so when we did amox er again last May we did the whole month no joint pain... but is he really not reactiing to the amox? because of all the years of prior use..plus never using probis till the last couple of years.... ds gets allergy shots..1 item listed is a single mold..but because of that they cover all of them in the shots..... could...even though the diflucan covers the yeast ...is he having a mold reaction coursing through his body as i am pouring it into him bid... does any of that make sense...maybe not a reaction with the stomach..but instead of pollens raising his tics... could an abx allergic reaction be the same thing...like a food allergy... sorry this is hard for me... told you i don't think i can handle herxing...ready to retreat....trying to hold..
