I hate doing this, but in the event that we do not win June, do we continue in July? If so, is there any volunteers to lead July? I sure hope we win June, but I have to be responsible and ask.....

Wow! Ataxia has been ranked #6 or #7 all month in 5K. This morning...they are 12!!!!!! If it can happen to them, it can happen to us. Please pull all tricks out of the bag and push PANDAS as hard as we did in the beginning of May!

It hasn't happened with me. Lately, I've been loigging in with my email. If you have a fb account, you can use the fb Pepsi voting apppication. It s VERY easy and you can still vote for the others on our list with it too. I find the fb Pepsi voting app is what my friends prefer to use on facebook. Another hint, even though you can only vote once a day, you can click "vote" and it will still allow you to share it on your wall as many times as you want! I share it at diffrent times during the day.

Is the "canary syndrome" discussed in it? I can't remember? Amongst the questions I get a lot through fb messaging from seeing me on other groups are (I'm sorry, but some may be addressed on the FAQ, but I can't reread it right now): Once starting antibitiocs, how quickly should I see improvement? More often, I'm getting parent that say penicillin was working, then 2 weeks later their child dramatically backslides (and that 2 week mark is cited often), a quick answer of what the following steps may be to cut and paste for that would be good. I usually quote the article on the failure rate, but they want to know why the pen worked at first then stopped. I don't know how to sum up this one and others are welcomed to write a summary....how do I know if it's PANDAS or autism. That's been a hot one lately. Prophylactics...which ones seems to be the most effective and how often would someone suggest they be taken? Suggestions for dealing with insurance and IVIG.

With my son, it was exacerbation #2 that he got a steroid burst. He did not follow his previous pattern of having any improvement with the antibiotic. He started his 5 day steroid burst I believe 5 days after starting an antibiotic. he was just worsening and spiralling down fast. In his previous exacerbation, we had seen a glimmer of improvement by day 5 of antibiotics. How does your son react to Ibuprofen? Can he take that?

Karen....if only you knew how much I appreciate you doing those comments. It may seem simple, but it takes time and I already spend too much time on the computer And there's even more drama going on this month. You'd really think we were playing Survivor or something. I think it was Jill who said I should post a "tell all" when this is done. It'd be a novel. Okay, enough...VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!

Jill (JAG) is helping too:) It is exciting, but we all must keep pushing, keep promoting, keep finding places to post our cause.... So much can change so fast. We all know that in our personal lives and it's the same in this contest. I just keep flashing to Warrior's Wish and how they came out of nowhere to snag a top 10 place and win. How Flagstaff and Ride 192 were in a secure spot, then lost it...but went on to snag it back. Remember that all causes see June as only being half over and they have time to take our spot. Like you said... EVERYBODY KEEP VOTING!!!! GO, GO, GO!!

Don't mean to pester you guys, but if you ever have a spare moment, please pop on a local mom group or any website that may be somehow related to PANDAS and post our cause on their wall or email them. For the heck of it, I emailed The Alternative Press editor today (since they once did a story on "Saving Sammy") and asked if she'd vote for us. She emailed back and said she just voted. Every vote makes a difference!
