Welcome. It's great to hear you are already seeing improvement! Make sure to test all family members for strep as well, even if they do not have any symptoms. Did the doctor say whether he will continue her on a prophylactic antibiotic once he believes the infection is under control? Also, with penicillin, I have heard a few times where it worked at first then after about 2 weeks, then they see backsliding. If this occurs, then I strongly suggest you ask for a switch in meds to either Augmentin or Zithromax. You can try the penicillin for now, but if it all comes exploding back,she probably needs a different antibiotic and don't wait to long for the switch. Hopefully, that will not happen. Peglem, things are always is the works:) I realize that things cannot stay "as is" and we need to find more votes all the time. Actually, 2 of the people we are helping fell back. And we are voting for them. I then write to them and assure them it's not due to a lack of support. And WMS has been stagnant at 7 for a really long time. Granted 7 is more secure than 9. We do need that extra push and I'm working on it:) Wish me luck. It also becomes a lot harder to see movement the closer you get to #1.

Thought I'd let everyone know that in this first 7 days of June, I have had 3 different people affiliated with different pepsi causes approach me for more info on PANDAS. Either to pass it on to friends, family members or for themself. It's a great feeling to know we are helping others and possibly saving more kids. Great job!

I hope I don't sound dumb here. This does not mean you are a carrier, correct? Amoxicillin may work. As for the baby, I can't remember what my daughter took when they thought she had thrush, but you can give a baby probiotics and you can ask the doctor (even a pediatrician) to prescribe cream for you so if the baby does develop thrush you won't get it when nursing. When it comes to a nursing mom, the ped's can prescribe things for the mom. I understand that Amox does have a high failure rate and I understand your concern. Hard decisions.

You guys rock!!! Everyone we are supporting is improving and I'm making sure they know that. In an hour, we improved the Ovarian Cancer cause by 3 spots! That one has a special meaning to me as my Mom died from Ovarian Cancer 12 years ago at age 48 so I thank you!!!!

I got off the phone with Pepsi. To no suprise, it's our fault it's not working for some people. Heavy sigh. She said to refresh the page, ask for a new capture, or find a different computer. My response....we tried to refresh the page, new captures still don't work, I'm at home with my kids and I can't get to a different computer. She then starts her whole speech all over agian. I would suggest to install firefox? Or wait a bit and try again. I am still using Internet Exploreer and the capture did come up on mine. If you have a facebook account, you can sign in through that and you don't have to do the capture code.
