  1. Here's a link to his website: http://webpediatrics.com/pandasclinicalcases.html
  2. I wonder if this has anything to do w/ some of our kids tanking in math? Do some avoid it because of anxiety over "unpopular" numbers that they can't avoid?
  3. So, do voters stay registered in the new month, or do we have to re-register our proxies?
  4. We're very good at holding steady...if we HAVE to go again next month, we'll get an early lead and hold it. Still...what will it take to beat those lemurs? Don't know why that rankles me!
  5. Thanks, Buster. It would be interesting to know the politics of why UHC is more willing to cover treatment for PANDAS (or even recognize PANDAS as a real disorder) than other companies. Also, interesting- my daughter has secondary insurance through the state, which is contracted out to a subsidiary of UHC. The subsidiary has denied claims that the parent company covers.
  6. We've done very well w/ UHC. They have been covering IVIG and they even covered our appt. w/ dr.L at in-network rates.
  7. I didn't read everything here, but it seems to me like the doc could offer some temporary relief, while at the same time addressing long term immune problems.
  8. Sorry, Vickie! I just made some room in my box. I was busy voting! I still have about 110 votes left today..
  9. Also, augmentin is famous for causing yeast problems.
  10. I just posted this to craig's list in my area: http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/vol/1754253650.html I'll let you know if I get any results....infact I'll probably turn any results over to others- My proxy list is pretty full.
  11. OMG!! My husband has this! Thanks for the chuckle!
  12. Yes, PANDAS is not for neat-niks. Wish I had a kid w/ a cleaning compulsion sometimes!
  13. Vickie, if you need me to change one of my core votes (that I sent you), Let me know. Its not hard to change just one.
  14. Allie had very high CamKII, but also antiD2 was very high.
  15. Is anybody who got to go pitching for our Refresh grant? How about a sign up sheet for proxy votes? We wouldn't even need names- they could be registered under pseudonyms. If we could somehow get a big influx of votes- I think we could hold onto our position- We seem to be good at holding steady.
  16. Do you have a link to that paper? My daughter's psychiatrist is interested in PANDAS in a let's-see-how-this-all-turns-out kind of way and I think that study would be something she'd like to see. Not that anybody can get a ybocs score on my kid, but she does have other patients. Here's one you can use [Murphy2004] Murphy TK, Muhammad S, Soto O, et al. "Detecting pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders associated with streptococcus in children with obsessive-compulsive disorder and tics", Biological Psychiatry, Volume 55, Issue 1, Pages 61-68, January 2004 http://www.journals.elsevierhealth.com/per...0704-2/abstract thanks!
  17. Summer of 2006, my daughter was on omnicef awaiting tonsilectomy, supposedly so we could enjoy that trip to disney...she did very badly on it, the trip was ruined! We don't use it anymore.
  18. Is there a way to edit out profile items?
  19. Zith always worked pretty quickly for my child- like next day!
  20. Use firefox here. Sometimes during the day it gets very slow. Always good during the night. Out west here, after 10:00 PM is the new voting date start. That's when I like to do it.
  21. Wow! Such a wonderful, beautiful story! What a courageous kid! That you for sharing that.
  22. I wonder if its possible that the Mono is back? Amoxicillan is known to cause a rash if you have mono.
  23. I wanted to give you this quote from Dr. Kovacevic's (Dr.K) website- webpediatrics.com because this is exactly what I have come to believe about autism, especially when its combined w/ PANDAS: While getting the PANDAS under control probably will not "cure" the autism, (because the delayed development still needs to happen), it may very well remove the underlying disease that has impeded development and allow for that development to happen...so maybe finding out about the PANDAS has given your child a better chance of beating autism as well!
