I just don't see how pepsi can police this- are they going to scrutinize everyone of the 100s of 1000 votes the winners receive?

We are not "cheating" by casting votes for people who want us to do that for them...their intention is to support and help us. I think we are the ones who are being cheated- putting all this effort into playing the system the way it was designed and presented to us, then having the rug pulled out from under- the winners from the last 4 months get their grants for doing what we are not allowed?

So what does this mean? Further down in the FAQ it says its okay to cast multiple votes from the same IP address. Is this going to be a problem?

My child had PANDAS both before and after T&A.

There is SOMETHING overstimulating a receptor(s) on nerve cells creating all that x-tra CamK activity. Maybe its not a strep derived auto-antibody, or maybe there are more of those that haven't been found yet. Maybe its antibodies to other pathogens... this is why Cunningham's work is so important- we need the answers!

I think your suposition is correct. While "carriers" probably do not shed enough to overwhelm the average immune system and cause infection, they probably do shed enough to cause the immune system to mount a defense (which keeps even our kids from getting a full blown infection), in the case of PANDAS that means those nasty auto-antibodies.

Well, I kind of feel like WMS was still faithful to us, even when we left them and its not that big of a problem to switch out one thing on the profile, especially since WMS is so easy to type in. I don't think its possible to change out a profile, is it? What I've noticed is when you don't vote for something over a few days, it slips to the bottom of the list.

I've been leaving comments for multiple votes, have they been matching? Do you want me to trade them for WMS? I wouldn't vote for Tacoma anymore since they technically owe us thousands already. Not that it really matters, but I also feel that WMS is a much better cause...Tacoma's 25k is only going to benefit 12 swimmers! WMS's computer lab will help A LOT more kids... Okee doke....Tacoma out, WMS in!

I don't give a lot of weight to these things. If a practitioner finds a successful, off label use for a drug, who cares if its off label. Drugs are used off label all the time!!!

Exactly! My child does have teeth issues, but I'm not sure what else qualifies as odd, possibly PANDAS related. Seems like evrybody defines these issues with their own perpectives: OT sees everything as sensory related, ABA sees reward/consequence (although I'm sick to death of the behaviorists at this point.), ENT sees everything as Munchhausen's... For the last couple of months Allie has been laying her chest across my lap and pressing down hard while making what sounds like gasps of relief. We can't figure this one out. Deep pressure? On her chest?

I got help collecting from friends on the BT autism board- they love Allie! But, we didn't get going until @ 10 days into the contest, so next month we'll be a jump ahead! What I do to make voting faster is keep a pretty solid block in the profile that I vote for. My voting lists are in columns of 20 or 30. I give one comment telling how many votes at the start of the column and then just vote from the profile list...just go down and check them off. As long as the site isn't sluggish it goes pretty quickly. I don't do facebook either.

You can just do 1 comment telling how many votes...saves time, and don't bother commenting on PANDAS page...we don't return votes from our own votes!
