Yep! That's the one, and also meningococcal vaccine. Now mind you my oldest dd also had these same shots on the same day. She has no tics but you remember the trubble I had with her. I did not notice any spike in her fears but that could have been because I was wrapped up in my son's screaming. CP

Heidi, My son had small tics, if any, before he had 2 shots, 6weeks later he exploded with screaming that lasted a year. I really really vote no on the flu shots 2nd dose. I watch videos of my son at his 11th b-day and he has no tics at all. BAM... 12th b-day 6 weeks after shots a totally different child. Makes me cry every time I watch those videos. CP

Welcome Heidi, Have you tried epsom salts soak for her hands? Have her take a bath for 20/30 min. in 2 cups epsom salts and very warm water. You could make a hand cream for her with the epsom salt too. Just add some salts to a small amount of warm water then add the salt water to a hand cream of your choice and mix it up well. Put the cream on her hands and she will be getting the mag. from the salts for a while. this could help calm them. This worked for my son's neck tic he had. This is a great way for you to relax too so take those baths yourself Glad you are part of the family, CP

Cheri, Do/did you use the oregano oil for your son's yeast? If lauric acid is high in coconut water, and someone drinks a lot of it does that mean the body produces monolaurin? My son seems to do well when he drinks it. Had him drink it all week before the consumption test to keep him hyd. better then water. He seems better in the vocals.

My son tics more when still too. He can play baseball, do his martial arts class...ect... BUT READ A BOOK! No way. watching tv was so bad we just stopped watching as a family. I hated football season. Now at 16 it still happends but not as bad. I hope this calms down for her soon this just breaks a parent's heart to watch their child ticcing away, and we can't find that one thing that will help. Have you tried the epsom salts bath? HE DID IT!!!! He passed the breathing consumption test. He said he felt a little closterfobic (sp?) in the maze, it was pitch black and he could only get through by feeling around. He fell in a hole about 4 feet deep on his head, but the trainer flashed a light so he could see which way was up. His air tank almost flipped off his back. This was pure determination there is no way he could haul the amount of weight in these tests without something driving him. The grown men had a hard time. Trainer said he is lacking in upper body strength, but he passed. I think he can do this...crossing fingers and toes the bookwork won't trip him up. Powerful prayers you all have. THANK YOU! CP

So Caryn, (BTW HI) After treating my son's yeast better with coconut water then the medication the Dr. gave us, is there microbe killing foods out there we could be upping in our kids diet that could help with infections? CP

fixit, my husband had ts as a child and outgrew it. About 2 years ago he was given a steriod for what I woud call muscle gramping. he was all doubled over and could not streighten up. The steriods did not bring back any ts in him at all. I do not know what kind of steriods he was on tho. CP

Thank you fixit, I have wondered why my son seems to do better on anibiotics but has very low titers for PANDAS. I would say he would be a case with the predisposed TS; therefore, a higher risk of this micoplasma pneu. Do you have to have a Dr. request this test? Thanks again. cp

You are all welcome! It really does come out of the pump just like the real foam soaps. Kinda cool, and the money one could save. We all spend so much keeping our kids healthy this is just one thing that take 2 min. to make, and makes ya feel good. Chemar, I think I'll see how this works as a body wash for my dd too. CP

Hi all, I am thinking ahead for my DD as she goes off to college in the fall and I decided to save $$$ by making my own foam hand soap for her to take. I'm trying to keep her from running to the drug store spending her $. I got to thinking this may help some of you all with OCD children who wash their hands a lot. I don't know if you go through a lot of soap. Recipe is: 1 cup distiled water 3 Tbs liquid castile soap 1 tsp glycerin drops of essential oil (peppermint was nice) You need a foam pump to fill, so I would suggest to buy one from the store use it up and then refill with this recipe. Welcome, I was going to say the same thing Faith said about going dairy free for about 3 weeks to see if there is a change. You should be able to notice something as soon as you reintroduce the milk if he is allergic. I'm glad you are here and I hope you can fine great Dr. in the UK. God Bless, CP

OH MY GOODNESS... KEEP THE PRAYERS COMING. First 8 hour class over with and he said it was hard and long. I asked if he wanted to quit he said, "No." He is really scared tho. next week they have to breath with the oxygen tank and squeeze through a small maze timed. The teacher said a lady died doing this last year. Just what my son needed to hear. He also said some people puke in the mask. He is to drink 8 to 10, 32oz bottles of water a day, all week just to be ready for this. You are right, Cheri, I need them too, thank you. I'm going to be a train wreck by the time this is over. I hope I don't focus on the vocals spiking. CP

Hi Hope, My son now 15yo has only vocals unless he wants to be quiet then he changes to something else, but back to the vocals as soon as he is free to do that. I understand about church too, that seem to be a huge trigger for our son. He spent almost 2 years sitting in the baby cry area because the vocals were too loud for church. I'm glad your son is an alter server I had signed mine up just before he exploded then I pulled him because I thought it was too much pressure. Now he shows no intrest in doing it. The L-carnitine made my son's vocals worse, I tried twice. Most all the aminos make him worse. Good luck, CP

He cannot get anything lower then a "C" in high school or they kick him out, and the FF school is two nights a week and 8 hours on Sundays. YIKES!!! Hi Patty, My son had a major spike when he got the braces, but his best friend also had strep that same week so I don't know which/both caused the trigger. It was a few months that he had that spike. Since he already had the vocals before the braces went on, it just became something we dealt with. It will be 2 years in June and he still has a year to go. I can't wait to see what happends when they come off. I am sure that teeth cause a trigger in my son. I hope the goes away for him soon. CP

Yes! His voice had been higher. I think it took about a month for it to go back to normal. We all kind-of laughed at him because he sounded so funny. He just smiled at us, he knew. CP

Yes, Faith, my son had the pain med. he was fine. He aslo started breathing through his nose the next day or so. Let us know if you see a change in mood at all, I would love to see if that has helped as I do think that has help our son. CP

Michael, I no nothing about electronics, but I remember she said something about HD emits a plume of radiation that could extend up to 12 feet in front of a large set. Is it the large set that is the problem? I don't know. Funny, I also remember feeling funny in my husbands co. car, I thought it was the GPS, could it be that it is an electric car? CP

I stopped using a portable phone in the house about a year ago because my head felt funny when I would have the phone near my ear. I get this same feeling when I use cell phones. I read an article about a month ago... It was from a Christian biochemist from Tenn. If you can try to google her name and see what comes up... Tamare Jo Mariea, Phd, CCN. She raises alarm about the health effects of chemicals, cell phones, and HDTV. She mentions WiFi but I do not know what that is.She believes we are at a "tipping point" and finds it intresting that it is our generation and younger who are having the autistic children.
