Not sure how I missed this thread, but once again my son just as Chemar's has "stong thick hair and nails." Oh! And what is this about Cheri's son having a concave chest? My son has the concave chest too. Tho for some reason seems to be less pronounced since weight lifting. C.P.

HI and welcome OP, I can't answer all your Qs, but I do think you should get a new Ped. I changed this year and I love my son's Dr. He has an Intergrative Dr. too. But I was very happy to get a Ped who was willing to do the IgG test and I only had to pay for the co-pay not the $200 (office visit) I would have had to pay for his Intergrative Dr. to do the same test. The only thing I found the Neuro good for was giving me DX of TS, that helped when I needed to address school. Otherwise all he wanted to do was drug him up. Have you tried fish oil? High in EPA could help her. Read as much as you can here you might answer some of your Qs just from reading. Good luck, C.P.

OK... my question is... If the IgE (immediate reaction) test came up with a reaction of Garbanzo bean, wouldn't the IgG (delayed reaction) have garbanzo bean as reactive too? My son shows clinically insignificant on the IgG for GB, but a class 5 on the IgE for GB? How can he be reactive on the immediate and not the delayed? I'm confussed beause he is off the charts for peanut on both tests. If anyone has an answer for this let me know, I'm not sure if I can use GB for my son's new gluten free diet. Thanks, C.P.

bmom, This was from his OAT report. Done by Metametrix. He had two intreventions for the energy markers Arginine and Lipoic acid It does not say alpha, does that make a difference? The cause is listed as Retal ammonia loading. (I have googled that and don't get any of what I read so far.) Thanks, bmom, I'll look up Claire's info on that. C.P.

My daughter has acne only on her forehead, she has had great relief from Apple Cider Vinegar. She just puts on a cotton ball and cleans her forehead. I have heard tea tree oil works too. C.P.

All, My son's methylation markers indecate, no adnormality found. So does this mean his sulfer system is fine??? On the other hand his energy markers shows he needs lipoic acid (compound containing sulfer) for his energy metabolism. And to add... he shows no signs of abnormality in his dexoxification indicators. WHAT GIVES??? C.P.

Hi Kallik, I forgot how old your child is? I was told that when they get to pre-puberty/puberty their hormones naturally take over and the education takes a back seat. My son was still able to understand what he was learning even during the year of screaming. I did give him salmon three times a week. Maybe he can get his fish oil from fish, and not the supplement. My son has only 2 C's total for the three quarters on his report card. And I really think the fish helped, because he hates civics, but has done well. Good luck, C.P.

No, Patty, I can't bring myself to give my son a spider.

Chemar, Thank you My intrest was peaked because the intramax has the amino acids too, That was the only reason I was asking. I'm sorry about your husband I hope it is not serious. bmom, PM C.P.

Forgive me, Chemar, Bonnie's page is confusing to me? When I asked about taking foods out of one diet high in tyramine, ie; aged foods, for fear it increased tics, you said that was for people taking medication with MAO inhibitors? So I am really confused and do not understand her page. When she talks about phenylalanine in nutrasweet I was thinking that was an amino acid change/processed into a chemical? If my son has an impaired protein synthesis wouldn't he need the amino acids? Well that is what I thought when his dr. said he was to eat meat 3 times a day. Any info you have to help, I thank you. This is so hard and I feel like this is an impossible path and I feel like giving up. C.P.
-
Chemar, Help me understand. I'm a little confused on the amino acids. Are you talking about supplementing with synthetic amino acids causing tic problems in TS? We would need to be concerned about the amino acids in the supplenment that claims its nutrients come from plants? And what about whole foods that have all the amino acids? Thanks Chemar P.S. We have still not seen any increase in tics on the intramax, and usually my son waxes and wanes every couple of days, but he has not waxed in 2 weeks. (Just to make sure you all understand, his waning is not better then he waned before, it is the same degree of waning, just has lasted longer.)

I just wanted to share because I was so excited. My daughter's Biology teacher showed the class a movie on GMO. She said the faces on the kids were amazed. She came home and gave me a hug and thanked me for doing all that I have to help educate her for the future. She said she was going to tell eveyone she sees drinking a coke that in has GMO in it. WEEEE... I'm happy C.P.

Thank you Caryn, He doesn't even think their is anything different about him when he is ticcing, so I guess he would never care one bit about his teeth. God Bless, C.P.

Caryn, Now how lucky am I, that you just so happen to have the same white spots. I was afraid you would not know what I was talking about. When my son started the 6th grade about a month before he exploded with TS, in his school picture he does not even have his two front teeth. That is real late. I kind of thought that was the reason, stuck up in his gums too long. Now my question is over the last two years I have noticed his white spots have lightened or more like blended more with the natural color of his teeth. His calcium has always been in the normal range, but do you think the natural calm, kefir, and/or raw milk would change/help this defect? I was waiting for his IGG to come back, but I tell you, I have a bad feeling about the wheat/gluten. How are you on gluten/casein/corn/soy free. Thanks for all you help. C.P.

Thanks for the update. I have given my son the intramax, new bottle is late in getting here, so he has not had it for 3 days, but I do have the intrakid that I give my youngest daughter I did give him that so he could have something, so that may be the reason we have not seen an increase. Oldest daughter in taking the intramax and she said her skin is looking much better. She has exzema. Her face is the least effected, and her arms are the worst. Her face is the one that looks good, the arms I can't tell yet. Please let us know what happens when you put her back on the intrakid. C.P.

Caryn, What does an ED look like? Could you let me know. Ever since my son's two front adult teeth came in they are spotty, (like real white and tooth colored mixed) Only these two teeth. His dentest said it was nothing, and his inrergrative Dr said it was nothing. He was tested for CD and that came back neg. Thanks, C.P.

Kim, My son's single most important imbalence is the low sodium/potassium ratio. This shows an impaired electrical balance within the cells. As I try to understand how sodium and potassium work as a cellular element, I am really wondering if he has a cellular absorption problem. (how does this effect his blood sugar????) Have not figured that out yet. My son is a fast mixed oxidizer, I don't know if this is caused from stress, or from some other adrenal or hormone problem. And how does all this have to do with his release of simple sugars. (yes, all three N-acetyal sugars are in the intramax.) My son was having some dizzy spells again and this is what caused me to look into the sodium/potassium, another reason I asked the inflammation question. (He has not had a dizzy spell since he has taken the intramax.) I was hoping the was because of the electrolytes in the intramax. (Chemar, my son is low sodium/potassium. Elevated sodium/potassium was the tissue analysis reason I guess, why he did not have an inflammatory tendency.) His fast-mixed oxidation is reflecting some kind of burnout or impaired detoxification which could be from excessive amounts of copper, so thank you for that info. Do you think if I keep supplementing zinc the cooper amounts would not effect him? I'm trying the intramax for the cellular effects on his body. BTW... he is still doing fine, no major tic reduction but that really is not why I want to use it. Maybe in time after he has been on it for awhile I'll see more tics go away, as his immune system (organs, cells and tissues) work together for a better balence overall. When I study more, I'll be coming to you for help with the sympathetic branch of the nervous system, and how they function in the brain, thyroid and adrenal glands. The intramax just has me so interested in the metabolic factors. I feel this stuff will put me at ease and help get his mineral levels balenced. Thanks so much for your help, C.P.

When ones mineral analysis does not indicate the presence of an inflammatory tendency. What does that mean? Are we talking about any kind of inflammation (injury, disease)? Would this kind of analysis rule out inflammation from pandas? C.P.

juls, I'm so happy for you and your son's progress. Thanks for sharing your succuss. I hope he stays on this track for a very long, long time. God Bless, C.P.

When your child was first being diagnosed.....

I feel like God has educated me to pass down to my kids and grandkids that food can cause a lot of illnesses. He may have reversed cancer in anyone of us. C.P. -
Jenny, You need an ice cream maker, if you don't have one it is a great item to have. It is so easy to make sorbet. My ice cream maker has recipes in it for sorbet. I bet you could make lime, pear, and mango sorbets. I use the recipes from the Feast without yeast cookbook it uses honey and not sugar. (you might do better with the sugar) I will give you a recipe that you could tweek if needed. Blueberry Pear sorbet 2 pears peeled, cored and chopped 2 cups blueberries fresh or frozen (I think you could use more pears and forget the blueberries) 1/2 cup unprocessed clover honey 1 cup water Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Pour into your ice cream maker and process according to ice cream maker directions. I think you could play around with mangos too, keeping close to this recipe. You might have to add more honey/sugar to less sweet fruit and also extra water if sorbet starts to look too thick while turning in the ice cream maker. My kids love ice cream and were so suprised the sorbet tasted real good. I have the Cuisinart ice cream maker, so easy to work and clean. C.P.

I'm not to up on the Feingold, but remember pears and some apples are ok. I do bake cut up apples for my son, kind of like an apple pie without the crust. She could eat that warm or cold. You can do it with pears too. I make all kind of fruit sorbet for my son. If she can have raw honey spoonfuls of that would be tasty and healthy. Homemade broths maybe. Good luck, C.P.

Samsmom, My son did that looking at the sun tic for a few years. He does not do that any other time except when he plays baseball. We would tell him not to look at the sun and I think he would try not to and always look out to the outfield. He plays second base and we told him it looks very natural for him to turn to the outfield and give a shout reminding how many outs there are, and even hold up fingers to show the outs. We are not sure if it helped him to tic in a different way and still look like he had his head in the game and not in the clouds Or if it is because he is in Babe Ruth and he needs to be more focused. He know at this level he will loose his second base spot if he looks like he is not in the game. I wonder if they outgrow that light sensitivity? C.P.

Caryn, Thanks I have been wanting to ask a more selfish question, but had not done so. BTW, you are very beautiful! I have been using Shiseido since I was 17yo and have switched to a product called Miessence an Australian product. I love the cleanser but have not been able to find a face cream that would be great for very dry skin. I have spent a lot of money on products to try and ends up a waste because they just don't keep my face from feeling tight. Anyone have a face cream they love and is not toxic. Thanks again my 16yo is going to use all natural products. C.P.

WOW! The only time I have ever heard of GAG was for people suffering from poor bladder health. I'm trying to understand all the benefits to the intramax and the protien/sugar matrix. The essential sugars N-acetylgalactosamine, N-acetyglucosamine and N-acetylneuramaminic acid. I'm having a hard time understanding all this, but had a feeling this dietary supplement would be very benefical to my son's impaired protein synthesis and significantly impaired sugar and carbohydrate tolerance. My son's mineral analysis suggests an impaired immune system that may contribute to chronic or recurrent viral, bacterial or fungal infections. I'm a little confused about this as he is never sick other then a cold or stomach bug. This has me really hopeful that the anti-microbial, anti-fungal, anti-parasitic, anti-viral, and anti-bacterial properties to this intramax may really benefit my son. Not to mention balence him out. If I have hit on something that you think I would benefit knowing please let me know, I'll be checking back in tomorrow. Thanks Kim, C.P.
