Well, they've isolated genes related to other conditions, like TS and narcolepsy. And they've found an OCD gene in dogs.

 

I heard Dr. Kenneth Bock ("Curing the New Childhood Epidemics: Autism, ADHD, Allergies and Asthma") speak at the AO conference, and he referenced a genetic component. His take on it was that some of our kids are genetically predisposed to have inefficient systems with respect to being able to clear out or move beyond environmental toxins and infectious agents, hence making them more prone to various conditions.

 

It make sense to me and, frankly, helps beat back some unenlightened folks' arguments that, well, why don't ALL kids exposed to strep get PANDAS? Why don't ALL kids who are given the MMR vaccine develop autism? Answer: Because, moron, it's just not THAT simple!

you are right and true/real information is good...and that will lead to true real anwers and not just bandaids...as long as they take in all the other outside components...

and why do just the kids have this gene not the parents??? did something in the enviroment in utero do it...or were they normal then the gene changed post vacine, infection???

Well my son did bloodwork for the p450 cytochrome test (mayo clinic has a link talking about this test) and the results will be back in a couple of weeks. It determines if there is a genetic factor to metabolizing medication. Apparently, if there are issues, then they give various products to help clear environmental toxins. (ultriclear and such)

 

My son's IGG, IGm etc numbers are now in normal range. I guess IVIG took care of that.

His IGE allergies are still high but went down from 1600 to 1200.

HIs ASO strep number 264

Metabolic profiles came back normal.

 

Behavior is all over the place. Irregular taking of pills. Risperdal is being given as of today to deal with his delusional thinking, stabilize moods.

yah...i guess i worry that,,if they say its genetics they will start dismissing enviroment, infections.etc in alot of things that are starting to get momentutm

you are right and true/real information is good...and that will lead to true real anwers and not just bandaids...as long as they take in all the other outside components...

and why do just the kids have this gene not the parents??? did something in the enviroment in utero do it...or were they normal then the gene changed post vacine, infection???

 

I highly recommend Bock's book; he speaks with such depth of experience and conviction; he could probably sell farm land to a fish!

 

Anyway, he thinks the issue is mostly that we've "upped" toxic exposure to such a degree over the last few decades; it's not that we as parents don't share the same genetics necessarily; it's just that our systems have not gotten "topped out" as quickly as our kids have because we grew up in at least a slightly healthier time . . . fewer air, soil and water contaminants, fewer immunizations, fewer things to assault a premature immune system such as our kids have pre-puberty.

I have not read this book, but I am doing biomedical interventions for both of my boys (along the same lines of what Bock talks about).

 

My 5yo tested positive for the MTHFR gene mutation. Like MOMwithOCDson said, this means that my sons (assuming my 2yo has the same genetic mutation) are not able to clear out the toxins that they are exposed to (injected with ). I am certain that they got this from me b/c they were given a supplement to correct this. I took the supplement and it was like my brain worked properly for the first time ever!

 

Also, each of my boys has mitochondrial dysfunction which can be brought about by the toxins/vaccines and in turn makes it harder for them to deal with more toxins/vaccines. Children with mitochondrial issues have a hard time with vaccines.

 

So, these kids are not the first generation to have the genetic variations, but they are the first generation to reach the "toxic tipping point". These kids are the canary in the coal mine. They are telling us that we have taken everything too far and if we don't back down it will only get worse for our grandkids. 1 in 6 kids has a mental illness. Are we going to wait until it is 1 in 2 kids? All kids?

 

Unfortunatley, many ppl are waiting for big business or the government (CDC, etc.) to come out and say "ok, we screwed up, we were wrong, these things are not safe". Well that is not going to happen b/c it is bad for business and it would create quite an uproar. It is up to us as parents to say, enough is enough...

Oh, and in response to fixit saying that she is concerned that the "gene findings" will let the researchers off the hook so that they can blame it on genes and not environment. Well, that may be the case and that may be their intention, but I would think that this would make the parents eventually demand to have their kids' genes tested so that they know if their kids are at risk before they vaccinate, etc..
