qannie47 Posted June 5, 2013 Report Posted June 5, 2013 I can't believe how many come from families with engineers. So it begs the question. If you read this post. Just give a ye or nay if you have engineers in your family. I know...much more serious stuff to talk about...just humor me.
Missmom Posted June 5, 2013 Report Posted June 5, 2013 Yes my hubby is an engineer, yes the kids dad.
T_Anna Posted June 5, 2013 Report Posted June 5, 2013 My Brother, Father and Grandfather, all are IEs. I remember when we were first concerned about DS's speech I picked up two books by Thomas Sowell "Late Talking Children" and "The Einstein Syndrome" where he studies the connection between science heavy families and developmental delays. Now I wonder how much of that is also PANDAS. T.Anna

filinha1 Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 Husband's undergrad is systems engineering - are we going to get your thoughts on the results?
norcalmom Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 Yep. Lots of engineers in our family - both sides.
AmySLP Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 My girls grandfather who is a bit OCD . ..and this seems true in my region with autistic kids too. Lots of engineers in my area with Parkinson's disease too.
nicklemama Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 No. I was a science teacher. Dh has a degree in finance. DS was adopted so it probably doesn't help answer your question.
