I remember when we were first concerned about DS's speech I picked up two books by Thomas Sowell "Late Talking Children" and "The Einstein Syndrome" where he studies the connection between science heavy families and developmental delays. Now I wonder how much of that is also PANDAS.

My girls grandfather who is a bit OCD . ..and this seems true in my region with autistic kids too. Lots of engineers in my area with Parkinson's disease too.

No. I was a science teacher. Dh has a degree in finance. DS was adopted so it probably doesn't help answer your question.
