I tried Through a couple different outlets as well. No go. I even tried the alumni assoc....no response at all and I contacted them on May1. -
My husband is with me in terms of believing in PANDAS and such. However, I am the one that took on the learning. Then he'd ask me a question, and it just became too much for me to even explain. It's like I was way ahead of the race witing for him to still do stretches. Actually, this Pepsi thing has helped. He's more involved now and has opened up to friends "allowing" them to know what we went through. Not specfics, but that we have a child with PANDAS.

See this... They are in the 20's in the 250 catagory. I'm thinking "yes". What's everyone's thoughts? Should I email them? If we do, we should do it this mornng. They left another message yesterday.

Rule out strep in everyone in the family! Start with rapids, if they are neg, make sure they send out a culture. If that is neg, then get titers checked. Strep can be in so many places.

Okay. You know I totally have to steal that one for the fan page:)

Did everyone vote? Less than 3 hours left for today's voting! -
Start the process for next year now. Districts won't do much over the summer and it takes forever to get things like IEP's in place. even now, they will give you the run around.Schools have tons of IEP mtgs to get the IEP in place for next year. Just had mine last week.

Welcome. If the OCD is back, time for a strep test. My PANDAS son (or any of my kids for that matter) get symptoms for strep. His behavior is the sign that he is sick. Aslo, take the rest of your family in for strep tests. Some kids will react to exposure as well and you want to make sure no one will reinfect her. If your kids can take Ibuprofen, some have found that will ease PANDAS symptoms. But that is just a band aid. If there's strep, that NEEDS to be erradicated asap.

Unbelievable! I think I'm still in shock. The fact that they would put a child, regardless of the issue or what the root cause is, an a 10x10 room with no chair, no desk...why don't they just pad the walls while they're at it? Does your district have an advocate? It is time to branch out and if you haven't threatened legal action, the time has come. No way. This is just not right.

How about this group... Philanthro 25K They are giving TONS of voted to our competition. #23 in the 50K catagory.

It's been growing very quickly. Very exciting! -
I'm proud of myself. I figured out how to tweet!

Who twitters? Twitter our link to Dr Sears!

I agree with your top ones and I thought Jett was a strong supporter too. I noticed Flagstaff gives a lot of votes to others too. . I started to send one their way today to see what happens. MRA sends votes, but I'm on the fence about them. Do you guys feel more compelled to vote for someone if they add a phrase like "Let's get you in the top 10!' or "You're in the top 10, let's make sure you stay"? Or are those comments irrelevant? Just trying to see if we could get more to come our way by pumping them up.

Tell him the ninja was a great idea:) We're 26!!!!!!! Keep voting and sending votes to our supporters too! -
I really don't want to sound like a broken record, but please do not vote for other submissions in the $50K catagory. We jumped from the 80's to the 40's in a matter of days. Anyone else can do the same then pass us. There's enough to choose from in the other catagories.
-
So, is razzball on the Pepsi page or just supporting? Synergy is getting serious. they have conatcted us on the facebook page and put us in their newsletter. I am going to vote for them every day.I then have my usual "go to" submissions and I scan to see how many PANDAS have posted. I want to spread the wealth of votes. But I think Synergy will be counting comments. That's what I think. I want to win this thing so bad!
-
I've seen others do it, but I haven't yet. I also have been wanting to go to our pepsi page, flip through the comments, and actually see who has been voting for us over these past few days, but I just don't have the time. Just to make sure our list is still being reciprocated. Anyone have the time to do that?

New Tourette's Diagnosis, wondering about PANDAS
thereishope replied to Bigal's topic in PANS / PANDAS (Lyme included)
None of my 3 kids get a sore throat or fever. Here's a flowchart for suggestions on how to go about a diagnosis PANDAS Flowchart http://www.latitudes.org/forums/index.php?...ic=6688&hl= If he has a negative strep test, it does NOT rule out PANDAS, but it's a step in the process. Do a rapid. If that comes back negative, make sure they do a cultures. If the culture comes back negative, then do blood tests. Now if blood tests come back in "normal" ranges (which is actually common in PANDAS kids) still push for a trial of antibiotics. The most effective antibiotics seem to be Zithromax and Augmentin. Yes, it sounds like your fishing around for strep, but that is exactly what you are doing. These kids are odd how their bodies hide the strep and the strep is so stubburn not to be erradictaed. It is our job to get rid of it no matter where it is. Strep can be in the throat, ears, nose, gut, anal, and for girls vaginal. Strep can also be on the skin.
