Refresh the Research! Vote Project PANDAS!
thereishope replied to P_Mom's topic in PANS / PANDAS (Lyme included)
We're ranked 42! Good morning. I vote when I first wake up just to make sure I don't forget. And I vote for our cause first so I don't accidentally run out of votes. Please vote! http://www.refresheverything.com/PANDAS -
This thread is useful. I'm doing my voting right now and couldn't remember who to vote for!

Bumping this up for the evening crowd. http://www.refresheverything.com/PANDAS make sure it acknowledges your vote. -
Funny, JAG:)

Every child has their own "right antibiotic". Unfortunately, the only way to figure out which is best for your child is through trial and error. If you think the Augmentin worked better, call and ask them to switch back. But don't throw away the script you have. Since it's pills, it has a longer shelf life and you will have something to fall back on in the event you need it.

That's fine with me:)

Bumping for afternoon voters. http://www.refresheverything.com/PANDAS Also, make sure to pass this link on and post it elsewhere. Most lcoal communities have websites where moms connect. I posted it on mine and two people responding saying they will vote. -
Has anyone had IVIG in Ohio?
thereishope replied to colleenrn's topic in PANS / PANDAS (Lyme included)
My son has not needed IVIG. I know I've been lucky. What part of Ohio? More like the Cleveland area or the Cincinnati area? -

In Ohio? Oh, man, we can't even find doctors that will give us antibiotics. -
When my then 5 year old had residual OCD, CBT didn't work, but ERP helped. Meg's mom did a posting of books before. Here's the link to it. http://www.latitudes.org/forums/index.php?...616&hl=book

Is she taking pills or liquid?

btw...SMA won the $250K last month. They have a lot of voters.

I usually leave the comment ... A vote from a PANDAS mom. We're trying to win $50K for research of this autoimmune disorder. Search "Kids in Crisis". Like yours said, I don't want anyone to think we're trying to win for bears. Darn that acronym!

Bumping this up for the morning people. Make sure to cast your vote today! I have my son's IEP mtg this morning for speech. I already aaw the rough draft. Last year's reflected an awful PANDAS moment wher he melted down, tried to choke himself, just awful stuff. In the rough draft for next year, one small paragraph saying he has PANDAS with a description of the disorder. No bad moments at all this school year! http://www.refresheverything.com/PANDAS -

I just tried these two. This one has no other $50K people voting for them... http://www.refresheverything.com/goingfortenthousand This one you can tell returns votes... http://www.refresheverything.com/gregspmc Or do you think we should go for more "mid ranking" causes? I guess all we can do is try and see if they return the favor! -

I voted for someone on the 5K but no vote back. I'll look through them and see. I have a few left for the day. -
We found the carrier in the family!
thereishope replied to worriedmommy's topic in PANS / PANDAS (Lyme included)
I say watch his behavior and chart it. You can try Ibuprofen too and see if that changes anything. I see what you all mean. I think I was assuming he was both a carrier & had an active infection in the past few weeks. Hmmm...I just don't know what to think. All of this is really making me question whether his recent behavior coupled with these titer levels is indicative of his having PANDAS too. -

In case you are looking at comments and seeing votes from the SMA. One strategy Pepsi actually suggests is to trade votes with other submissions in other catagories. SMA is in the $250K catagory and the $25K, so it is okay to vote for them too and "trade votes". Just DO NOT vote for anyone else in the $50K catagory! SMA is a great cause to vote for. Both of their causes are in the lead. They have a lot of votes they could possibly send our way. If you vote for the SMA, type the comment "A vote from a PANDAS parent". Search Kids in Crisis". So they know how to find our page. You cannot post links. You actually may see my post on there. This lets them know we are hopefully trading with them.
