  1. PhillyPA- are you getting them done locally? How many ivigs has your son had?
  2. lyme mom- so glad to hear you and your son are done with treatment and feeling better! I'm sorry I forget...but don't you have another child with Lyme? Is he/she still being treated? Again, great news!
  3. Hello- My CD57 (Natural Killer (NK) Cells) test from Labcorp was denied by my insurance as being experimental. Anyone else have this problem?
  4. Is Dr. Dalmau helping you receive IVIG? Does he administer it? If no, is he recommending a doctor who will administer it?
  5. We just had the doctor sign the Igenex form and paid for the testing with our credit card (listed on form). Then when Igenex finished the testing they sent us a detailed receipt to submit to insurance for reimbursement. Our insurance reimbursed us 70% in the past and just recently covered 90%. Our insurance does not require a medical letter of necessity. Note- when submitting form to insurance, be sure to circle the comment of using the modifier code. Our insurance never applies it, and covers the IgM/IgG as one test (since they have the same cpt code). I always have to call them to get the rest reimbursed.
  6. Thank you Wendy for the update. Such a thorough doctor! Dd also has high HHV6 titer.
  7. Any suggestions on the best way to make a good dairy free coconut smoothie? It would have to hide most of the coconut taste.
  8. I just wanted to "like" this post. I also think we cannot begin to understand how much these kids are going through that we can't see. Do what you can to support his efforts. LLM- I love your posts! This was a great reminder for me today -- just what I needed...Thank you!
  9. Grace under Pressure- My dd got it at age 5-6. It was couple months after her first major onset of symptoms. I also was told it was related to her immune system. Laure- I wouldn't be suprised if she has Bart...very similar to PANDAS symptoms (neuropsychiatric/behavoral). I don't think molluscum would disappear after scratching them...it usually makes it spread. It's been a while so I sort of forget. Sounds like something else though.
  10. My daughter had molluscum for 9+ months before it finally went away. There were a couple of threads on it...you could try the search box, if you need more info. Of course, it could just be a herx??
  11. Tired Cobbie- I feel like I could have wrote parts of your post myself. Hang tough, Cobbie! That's a lot of bicillin shots...he's a trooper alright...I would have cried thru all 24. Melinda
  12. We're not completely dairy free but try to limit most dairy. Is the coconut milk dairy free? Ifran- thanks for the info.
  13. laure- do you think it could be molluscum contagiosum?
  14. Ifran- I am so glad you are seeing positive results. Could you elaborate more on the three supplements you are giving...brand/dosage? Thank you!
