Hello, thanks for the info--I think my doc will change just can't get a hold of her. I have left 8 messages since Monday for Dr. Latimer she responded to a quick email I sent her on Monday and said we would talk Tuesday well I still cannot reach her any suggestions to help with that. She is good but this piece is really is frustrating. Andrea one of her girls at the front desk says she is getting so busy and I understand that but if you have a patient and you order labs and things come back out of whack you need to be available to talk about them. I can't call another dr. and say so and so ordered labs this is elevated or whatever and have them treat it. sorry to vent just so frustrated. Deanna

Hi, Just have a quick question Anthony's DNASE-AB level went from 960 until 1360 on Augmentin. He is still having some tics so my question is do I push to get on Zithromax or I do I leave things the way they are?? Need so help with this one. Deanna

Hi Colleen anthony weighs 70 pounds he is on Augmentin 500mg twice a day, the first level was drawn on 3/25/2009 and the most recent was drawn on February 26, 2010--He was put on Augmentin in October of 2009 after being on Pen-v-k not sure what this means. Deanna

we had some issues as well. most labs at hospitals are use to sending blood out--check with your lab at your hospital--you may need an order from doc stating venipuncture for lab draw. Deanna

Anthony had his tonsils and adnoids removed for recurrent strept when he was just a little over two--nothing else tics, behavior changes noted at this time. Deanna

Anthony is due for chickenpox and tetanus since he will be turning 11 at the end of summer I was just going to let him get tetanus--is that one ok?? Deanna

Hi, my son is also 10 I try to keep him eating pretty healthy but he is 10 so sometimes I need to let him ---we don't use any supplements --he has been on Augmentin sicne October in conjunction with topamax just started to tic again this week so not sure what is going on. I don't think 10 days is long enough--if it is truly PANDAS then long tern antibiotics are indicated. Deanna

Hello, Anthony has done great the last 3 months on topamax and augmentin--he was put on the augmentin in October on our last visit to Dr. Latimer was on pen-v-k. ove the last few days i Have been noticing tics which are increasing and a vocal tic at times. I am so nervous that he is slipping back, does this mean the antibiotic is not working we don't see Dr. Latimer until March maybe going sooner I just don't know what to do or is the waxing and waning just normal. I know I probably have the answer to this somewhere its just he was doing so well and now I am just scared. i hate this so much, you are in a good place and then wham right back to where you were(well not that bad) you know what I mean. thanks for listening. HI, I also posted this on the PANDAS page. Brad Cohens movie Front of the Class airs Saturday I was going to let Anthony watch it and my mother in law was like you should not let him watch this she gave me no real reasons why. Now I am starting to doubt myself. I sent Brad an email about a year ago when this was all so new and he sent me an email back he is awesome.
