Well guys I dug around a little deeper and turns out i did receive that shot a long time ago, I wouldn't be surprised if that is what started all of these tics. Any way as long as I don't have to worry about an increase in tics im happy I guess. Thanks everyone

I do this myself. I must say out of all my tics this is by far the worst one. Sometimes I feel like im not gonna be able to get a full breath and it just keeps going on for few minutes at a time and then finally i can get a nice full breath.

I don't know, but they are not allowing to register for classes without it. I dnt mind the shot I just want to know if my tics might increase from it.

Winters coming and my tics have started :(
AHB900 replied to AHB900's topic in Tourette Syndrome and Tics
^ my tics are usually gone until winter arrives. I don't know if its the weather allergies or the fact that im beyond stressed at school. I do get this same dryness every winter. Then vaporizer, moisturizer, drinking extra water, etc...good suggestions. My initial ???? was if possibly home heating petroleum by by-product fumes (e.g. from gas/oil furnace, etc?) had a problem allergy wise? ^ i dont know if its an allergy problem, because i have tried claritin D with no help at all. I could be wrong though -

Hey everyone, I need some advice. The weather is changing and im starting to tic. My face feels like all the moisture has been sucked out of it. My lips feel dry, not from the outside but from the inside it feels like there is NO moisture in there. My face feels the same dry from the inside fine from the outside same with my eyes. This causes me to tic in many different ways on my face (blinking, squinting, mouth related tics etc) in result to this im getting stressed and im ticing in non facial ways too. Does anybody have any advice for me? how i can make my face feel better so this wont happen? I haven't ticed all summer i was perfect I was practically tic free now it all starts.

I tic and OCD while i drive. Ive been driving since i was 16 and i am currently 20. Never had any problems. When i tic really badly the worst that happens is i start panicing and i look to my sides alot i blink and stuff like that. Like i said ive never really had a problem. Worst that happens is ill end up drifting to the other lane (i know it sounds bad) but thats about it. What i found useful is when i tic really badly i usually just have a friend of mine drive. When you start getting comfortable with driving it starts reducing by alot because you start to feel really comfortable in the car. Also ive noticed when the seats in the car are comfortable i am more relaxed and tic less.

###### everyone, I seem to be having a seriously hard time while read books or any thing actually. I am in college and I am studying to be a lawyer which requires me to do ALOT of reading. My problem is everytime i read i end up rolling my eyes after ever word. Due to this my eyes end up tearing up and i start yawning i dont even know why. This makes it really hard for me to read usually i cant even pick up what im reading. Any body have anything i can do to stop this? The weird thing is if i stop reading get up and walk around i dont roll my eyes, but once i come back sit down start reading again i start freaking out and rolling my eyes again. Any ideas? this is reallly making it very hard for me to pass my classes etc. Thank You

Vocals/Snorting-Going to Movies/Concerts
AHB900 replied to tryinmybest's topic in Tourette Syndrome and Tics
if he really enjoys movies and concerts it could be either the excitement which is a big tic trigger or it might be the fact that he feels uncomfortable sitting so closely to the people next to him. I also tic in movies or any other form of close seating. I start to feel uncomfortable when people are sitting to close to me and i feel like i have to sit still so people around me don't think im weird so try maybe sitting more isolated if possible. Also I believe this would be considered a vocal tic try L-Carnitine it is known to be very helpful for vocal tics. -
i tic very badly while driving, but my tics switch over to more like OCD where i always have to look at my rear view mirror or look at my door handles or i end up with a leg tic. basically they change and they worsen alot. It really makes driving un comfortable and i find my self avoiding driving alot because of it.

AHB900 replied to AHB900's topic in Tourette Syndrome and Tics
Hmm if i really think about it. I do tic alot when i get stressed or like panic. Like while driving a car when a car pops out of know where i kinda start panicing and like go all OCD and tic and stuff. Also another question. Would be checking things alot also be a tic? or should i look into OCD? Because i have this tendency to check door locks like 10 times or i have to make sure my wallet keys are always in my pocket like every 5 mins. I always have to check my rear view mirror or i wont be comfortable or i have to look at my window controls in my car. Would this be tics? -

I guess if there is such a thing. :-\ I really get uncomfortable from this damn tic. My eyes start to water i have trouble breathing i cant concentrate i get super tired. -
Hey everyone, just a quick question to those with tics on the boards. When i tic a lot of times my body feels like its panicing and i feel short of air and i feel super uncomfortable. Is this something everyone with tics feels or would this possibly be some other problem that can be causing my tics.

Do you guys think there will be a cure?
AHB900 replied to AHB900's topic in Tourette Syndrome and Tics
Yeh i was alittle confused on that snoring reply also. It really would be nice to see some serious improvements in medicine for tics.
