At this point...unfortunately she still isn't able to learn. She said when someone talks..she doesn't understand a thing they say. It has been this way since pre-school. I guess with so many bombarding thoughts and severe OCD, anyone would struggle to learn. Anyway...I may have to concentrate on some kind of life skills class, so she can learn how to take care of the little things in life for now. I will google it. Thanks for the help!

Thank You Mayzoo.... It is a roller coaster. I am still going to work on insurance to try getting IVIG covered. I hope its the right next step. I know lots of people have had bad results and of course some had good results. Guess I have to try everyithing though, or I will never know.

My daughter was over at NYU with Dr. Najaar who said she doesn't have any inflammation. Our current Dr. disagrees, even if it doesn't show up on tests. there has to be inflammation, with all the psych problems she has he said.

She seemed to get less aggressive when I added more ampho for yeast, but how much medication can you give for yeast. Seems like I have so much already. If I keep going up on ABart, I have to go up on anitfungal to make her less mean all the time. Probiotics don't help here. Usually something to kill yeast helps. Probiotics seem to make more yeast. I suffered a lot with this growing up. It's really tough on relationships. Never knew it was a form of OCD. Hummm....I guess this could also be related to lyme disease, right?

I have had wonderful things happen with valtrex. It helped with severe confusion and sleep. It does not work as well, if I don't have something on board for lyme and bartonella though. Good luck!

I lowered her dose of zinc and her head ache, digestion troubles and itchy rectum subsided immediately. Weird!

Things are kind of falling apart over here again, and not sure why.

All of a sudden my daughter is pooping out whole pieces of undigested food. She also has a really itchy rectum. The only thing I changed is that I added Zinc, which I think kicked up yeast here, but would this have anything to do with her eliminating like that! I can actually see what she eats for the whole day. She has always been super constipated, so this is really weird! She is eating more the last 4 days after being severely anorexic for a long time. Could more food in her body be too much after going so long without? I see improvement since treating the viruses. I had bactrim on board but she was so agitated with it. Scratching her face off with her nails because she felt ugly. She is off it now and we are going to start A-Bart. Thanks for asking Rowingmom! Do you give all of those things for yeast? In one day?

Not sure if it's coincidence or if the zinc is causing an itchy rectum. The itchiness started with my girl as soon as I upped the zinc from 20mg to 40mg. Do you think zinc can cause yeast, or fungus to kick up?

I need the 7 day one, with removable daily ones. The daily ones should have at least 4 sections in it. I also need one that does not keep opening and spilling pills all over bottom of my purse. Hi Everyone. Can you believe my daughter asked to do some kind of school work!!! I am not sure she is able to, but at least it's a good sign. Online schooling is all she will try. Do you know of a program online that has a live person instructor (not face to face,-just voice) that will work with the child? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

My daughter always had distorted body image and saw herself as fat - but never stopped eating! When we started the bactrim, the obsession with her body and thinking she is ugly got worse and worse as we upped bactrim. I kept on it thinking it was die-off at first, Then we started adding in valtrex for viruses and things looked a bit better so I thought she needed a combo of abx and antiviral. Still she would not eat. Got so bad that she was started to look sickly skinny and was feeling dizzy. I weaned her from bactrim and the anorexia is almost gone and the distorted thinking (about being fat and ugly) is much better too. I think the valtrex was the ticket for us. We were getting nowhere with most everything we tried for this girl. Hope this helps. Bactrim was bad news here. Tried it several times.

My DD was anorexic for months. Dropped weight very quickly and would only eat spinach and peaches. It started when i introduced bactrim. We are almost done weaning her off and little by little she is less anorexic and looking much better.
