I know if Alkaline Phosphate is low, it can mean some deficiencies but what does it mean if it it too high. Anyone know? Thanks

I am wondeing if it works on intrusive thoughts too???? The OCD here is bad but not as debilitating as the bombarding thoughts that keep just staring at a computer or having to listen to loud music with head phones to calm them. It's horrible and I am not able to find anything to help!!!

Has anyone seen improvement in sleep and confusion after getting D3 levels up? Also what number should D3 levels be in a 16 year old. Thanks!

My child can not slow down. She stares at the computer all day and then if I am ever able to peel her away and get her in the car, she races out the door even if I tell her to put shoes on and she just tell me "mom, you know I can't slow down"...It's been like this since a child. When she gets into the car she will stand on her head and climb all over, until she puts head phones on. I know it is intrusive thoughts but part of me also wonders if it could be her heart making her hyper. I doubt it, but it just crossed my mind because she had an irregular heart beat on EKG the other day that I think may be from the churchmen I am giving. Nothing slows this kid down. I am exhausted and it is so hard to watch her speed 100 miles per hour. Also, every time we start or stop an antibiotic she gets a severe migraines and vomits for a long time. It's so odd. Next step is IVIG Years of antibiotics did nothing but make her rage more. Tried all kinds of psych drugs etc...Sad. Any words of encouragement are welcome. Thanks!

All of her doctors recommend IVIG since nothing has worked thus far. Been at it for many years. She is quite ill and any med/supplement we try makes her rage. Even the teeniest little bit.

My daughter is 16 also. I live close to you. We have been dealing with this since she was a baby. PM me.

My daughter REALLY needs IVIG but does not have any test results to back it up other than A-Bart and Lyme disease. Is it a lost cause trying to get insurance to pay?

llm-thanks for sharing that information. Bactrim would be in that sulfur category too, right? Ooops! just saw Jag10's post explaining that sulfa and sulfur are different.

Same thing here. Sometimes she won't drink a drop and then she can't stop drinking. It seems to be related to her OCD most times in our case.

I had the same thing happen here. It was awful and she was never a stinky child. I thought it may have been the milk thistle, zinc or magnesium causing it. She is not on either of them right now and odor went away but I am not sure which was causing it. Hope this helps.

Thanks both of you! She never takes her head phones off because if she does, she starts to go crazy with the thoughts. She lives with head phones on to calm her brain. I guess she focuses on the music and it stops her from concentrating on the other thoughts for awhile. I have tried many psych drug and antibiotic (but not all) but no relief..

OHMYGOSH, I would give her anything right now to help her!!! She suffers so much for so long. The thoughts are constant and then when she reaches a point where she can't take it any more she gets really impulsive and hard to be around. When she is on these strong antibiotics they don't help the insturisive thought and when the thought get unbearable while on the meds, she snaps and screams out of nowhere and it scares the heck out of me. It is so hard to explain but it's as if her thoughts boil over and she explodes. Horrible to see. She has no control over them. They are thoughts of being ugly, thought of not having a loving family on and on....Is this OCD or is this anxiety or is this all under the same roof?

Has anyone found anything that has helped intrusive thoughts for their child?

My child is taking rifampin, minocycline, valtrex and amphtetercin. Which one could be turning teeth brown? We are starting to wean off of these medications and I want to start with the one that I think is causing the discoloration. I suspect the rifampkin but was wondering if you had any experience with this. Her teeth are the only thing that she likes on her body. :0(

Well....I am wrong again, and so was the ER. I came down with the same illness as my daughter. I guess it's a virus. It was the worst one I have ever had!!! My daughter is still not well after 4 days. Thanks for asking.

Just got back from ER. It was just not getting better. She has very high tolerance for pain, so her screaming told me to go. Doctor said it was definitely the oil of oregano. He's seen it before. Good thing I went because they did an X-ray and she was so constipated it was ridiculous. I thought things were good in that department. My daughter can't express her self at times. Thank you for your concern.

Actually it still burns but she stopped vomiting. I called poison control and they think she has two different things going on here. He doesn't think she could be this sick from just 4 drops of oil of oregano. He thinks she has the bug perhaps in addition to the burning of the oregano oil. Not sure though. :0( Or food poisoning but she doesn't have bad cramping or diarrhea

I gave the liquid instead of the gel caps on the oil of oregano and her esophagus is burning and she is vomiting. I am giving pepto sooth the pain but not sure what else to do for her. The burning sensation is horrible for her. Any thing else I can try? Thank you

Not sure if this will help you and it probably seems to simple but vitamin D really helped calm the rages. I always thought that perhaps it was helping to kill viruses. Not sure really though. When my daughter rages, goes into depressions (with treatment) nothing can pull her out except time. I try to have family members close by at these times. Thinking of you....

and my daughters very odd thoughts, hallucinations, intrusitve thoughts always get way worse with treatment...They seem to calm when I have her on something for yeast, viruses, lyme and bartonella all at the same time. If one of these treatments is left out, she is wild and aggressive!

Go slooooowww is all I can add... It took me almost a full year to get all of the antibiotics into my child!!! I give an 1/8th of the dose, wait 3 days, add something for yeast, wait 3 days, add a little magnesium to make her less aggressive, wait 3 days.... etc....Controlling yeast was essential! It's complete crap shoot! rowingmom...thanks for that useful information. Your always so generous with your time!

We never use to get sick so I thought this was a good thing and that our immune systems were working, but we are sick a lot now!!! She also had a low CBC on blood work this time. Did your child have an adverse reaction to milk thistle?
