Has anyone had success with asking Dr K to run this/these test(s)?? Thanks! OH please tell me your dd is still holding strong!!! we used igenex. ...western blot..band 41+ and 39ind for ds but if no one gets back to you you might want to check the lyme board i bet he'll order it for you!!!
Iowadawn Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 I seriously doubt he will order these for you. I emailed Dr. K re our son's IGeneX results and briefly stated some of the symptoms that have plaqued him and why we were exploring this route. One test, Babesia FISH test (the parasite is seen in red blood cells) was positive. Bartonella & Bb antibodies showed up. Our son has had 2 IVIG's w/ him. His response did not make me think that IGeneX testing was something he would order. I'll leave it at that. Your best bet is to get your local doc order it. Just my experience. Dawn
pixiesmommy Posted September 13, 2010 Author Report Posted September 13, 2010 She is still doing well. This is just our one year post-ivig checkup. Thanks for the info. I thought that was the one IgeneX... I just remembered the Lyme board was there!- but wanted to be sure. Can't hurt to ask, though my impression is that he probably won't. Thanks!!!
