There has been speculation that some childhood immune system disorders may have a link to TS. Roger Kurlan, MD received his BA from the University of Rochester, and MD from Washington University, St. Louis. Dr. Kurlan was a member of the faculty in the Department of Neurology, University of Rochester from 1984-2009. Recently he became the Director of the Movement Disorders Program at the Atlantic Neuroscience Institute, Overlook Hospital, Summit, NJ. Dr. Kurlan is the founding and current principal investigator of the Tourette Syndrome Study Group and has more published than 50 articles related to TS.
