Claire
Thanks efgh, Your magnesium taurate is absolutely on my list to try--I haven't forgotten it. I know what you mean --- Each kid can have different and sometimes opposite reactions to the same thing, e.g your son and the passion flower. Then Chemar's husband and 5HTP vs her son. I am just slow to try things because I have been working long hours. It took me months to get the full spectrum bulbs in, and do the Irlen. I try to keep moving forward on this also...I am behind on the sleep issue and the mold. Let alone waiting for test results. Did I mention that our insurance covered all the blood tests (vitamin deficiencies and fatty acid and oxidative (?) tests at the standard 90%. Hallejujah. I haven't a clue what they mean though, I must wait for the doctor visit. I haven't heard on the other tests yet. Claire
Guest Guest_efgh
Claire Keep us posted on your doctor's visit. Chemar and others thanks for your details on pumpkin seeds. Are there any specific foods which generally are supposed to calm the brain and keep children more relaxed and less HYPER (some tips from your rich experience like how you said pumpkin seeds may help deworming!). Your inputs would help me increase such foods' intake for my son. He is more restless and hyper (dont know if its due to the age or due to TS!) thanks in advance for your help in this. (you had suggested chamomilee tea and epsom bath earlier - thanks. But, what I mean now is "foods in general".
Guest Guest_efgh
Chemar, In addition to my previous post in this thread, also want to ask you if you heard about chamomilee bath. one of my friends was mentioning that she boils chamomilee tea bag in water and adds that boiled tea solution in the bath tub and she recommended it for a "highly relaxing bath". Have you come across this before? What are your views on this. Thought I would get your inputs before starting this..Any likely negative effects? thanks
Chemar
Chamomille is one of the mildest herbs known and is even safe to use in infants. I havent ever heard of a negative side effect. I use the tea bags for a facial refresher and when my children were tiny they never had colic or diaper rash thanks to chamomille. I will check my books and see if any actual foods are recommended for relaxation etc I know that Lemon Balm, Lavender and Chamomille are the herbs most recommended
