Calicat
I am so confused as to why the HPV vaccine might become mandatory in school aged girls. I thought the vaccine was meant to help prevent cancer. What horrible epidemic could occur if girls opted out of this mass vaccination program? Oh, yeah... the horrible epidemic would be a loss of profits. Calicat
kim
Such an excellent website http://www.vaccinationnews.com/Opening.htm Scroll down to Picks of the Picks, for daily news. * ►November 6, 2007 - Tougher than MRSA, they beat most drugs - Philadelphia Inquirer - "The rise of these resistant bugs 'is really scary,' said Henry S. Fraimow, an infectious-disease expert at Cooper University Hospital in Camden." Comment from Teresa Binstock: In retrospect and despite warning from early antibiotic researchers, the problems caused by overusing antibiotics parallels the problems caused by excessively fundamentalistic worshiping of vaccinations. Vaccinating sick or recently sick kids is problematic, as is ignoring genetic findings of inter-human differences in detox and immunity. If adverse sequelae are the goal, then One Size Fits All is supportive strategy.
kim
Michelle......I was scrolling through the "articles" thread looking for an amino acid article that I think is posted there and ran into this article. I thought of you because I know that you are struggling with the vaccine issue for your daughter. I'm sorry with everything that you're dealing with, that you have to struggle with this decision too. I just so fear the whole process of vaccination for some children. I went through what you are with my neice and that decision. I found the level of ignorance surrounding vaccines in the pediatricians that we saw (4 of them) to be mind boggling. It was like they were all reading from the same script. The decision became much easier, once we really got fimiliar with the diseases that are vaccinated for. Anyway, since this article is rather specific to TS, autoimmune issues, autism, I thought maybe you would want to read it. http://members.jorsm.com/~binstock/vin.htm

michele
Kim, These articles gave me chills. I have to forward them to a friend with an autistic child who had seizures right after shots. These articles really lay it out there about the neurological problems associated with shots and brain permeability. Wow! This is what Dr. Demio has been telling me. I only wish these were written by a Dr. Is there more research studies varifing this? I am on hold about Ava's shots. I can't help but worry could this happen again? Could it have been prevented after the first reaction by not giving anymore shots. The Dr.'s say she is fine they say his problems aren't connected. That is except for Demio. He told me I can do a waiver in Ohio for shots. That Andrew should never have any more. I am going to think hard on this. I have two months before I need to give her shots again. I wish I didn't have to dwell about this. Yesterday a mom I kind of know, told me her kids were getting flu shots today. She said how she was hesitant to give mist because her daughter was just two. However her office says two is fine. A friend of hers who is a nurse told her five is the correct age for mist. I then told her I am not giving flu shots because of Andrew's neurological problems from shots and probably his predetermination for neurological problems. She goes awe that is too bad and seemed to ponder what to say next. People just don't get what we go through do they? Maybe they think we are nuts? One of best friends really questions Andrew's diagnosis because it is in the brain and I think people think it is bad discipline or ADD not an attack on the brain. It just sounds so weird. Even his principal of twenty four years said Holly Molley I have never even heard of such a thing how did you find this out? The irony my friend's son has mild CP. However people can see his walk is affected. They can see he is slow thinking. Andrew talks wonderfully well. He is smart and looks perfect on the outside. Once he started doing the noticeable cracking though I think she started to believe me. His teacher had taped the class and Andrew was doing it in the tape and she saw it. Oh well. I will move on. Thanks again Kim you are a doll. Michele Michelle......I was scrolling through the "articles" thread looking for an amino acid article that I think is posted there and ran into this article.
