Anyone have research linking vaccines to ASD?

Recommended Posts

i am inclined to believe that flu vaccine triggered our dd's pandas. i, however, don't see that the document from the previous post by rowingmom shows that vaccine caused autism. perhaps i just don't understand what I am reading. it seems to me that these were reported incidences, and not something that scientists proved than hid.

rowingmom -- do you have different interpretation?

The table cumulatively lists all "spontaneous reports" of serious reactions from the clinical trials from 2000 to 2011. These incidents are tabulated from pages 591 - 645.

These are not the results of scientific testing - which doesn't occur anyway. All we have are reports.

Recent Italian Court Decisions on Vaccines and Autism

Presiding Judge Nicola Di Leo considered another piece of damning evidence: a 1271-page confidential GlaxoSmithKline report (now available on the Internet). This industry document provided ample evidence of adverse events from the vaccine, including five known cases of autism resulting from the vaccine’s administration during its clinical trials (see table at page 626, excerpt below).

Posting this on the run so will be interested to see if what I think I'm reading here is what anyone else interested makes of it

good find, Kim. I think the two studies suggest the mechanism ia flu vaccine can result in an unwanted, overwhelming production of CD4 T cells. If the first study can be translated to humans and if the second study shows that flu vaccines promotes CD4 T but not CD8 T, then indication is that flu vaccine can cause unwanted inflammation. Brava!

now, the reason flue vaccine does not result in an overwhelming inflammation seems obvious because the number of CD4 T cells that is produced is not huge as the flue virus is not introduce in high numbers and does not get to provoke strong infection.

It looks like they are talking about the inactivated flu vaccination here (as opposed to the live vaccine)

Annual Vaccination against Influenza Virus Hampers Development of Virus-Specific CD8+ T Cell Immunity in Children

Some parents feel that "no more live viral vaccines," are the better way to go and have been advised against them by their phsycians.

Study shows cytokine storm in fatal 2009 H1N1 cases

http://www.cidrap.umn.edu/news-perspective/2013/08/study-shows-cytokine-storm-fatal-2009-h1n1-cases

Researchers who studied lung tissue samples from 50 people who died of pandemic H1N1 (pH1N1) influenza infections in 2009 say they found clear evidence that the intense immune response known as a cytokine storm played a role in their demise.

How does this work in people who get the inactivated flu vaccine and then get the flu or a flu like virus anyway? Is there an enhanced inflammatory response? I'm just throwing these things out as I'm finding the things that I want to reread.

Study finds flu shot really did make people sicker

http://metronews.ca/health/363279/canadian-problem-maybe-not-study-finds/

Canadian researchers noticed in the early weeks of the pandemic that people who got a flu shot for the 2008-2009 winter seemed to be more likely to get infected with the pandemic virus than people who hadn’t received a flu shot.

Five studies done in several provinces showed the same puzzling and unsettling results. But initially research outside of Canada did not, and the effect was dismissed as “the Canadian problem.”

As this seemed the place to do it, I am posting a link to "200 evidence based reasons not to vaccinate" from GreenMedInfo.

"...over 300 pages of study abstracts culled directly from the National Library of Medicine's pubmed.gov bibliographic database on the wide-ranging adverse health effects linked to vaccines in today's schedule (over 200 distinct adverse effects, including death), as well as numerous studies related to vaccine contamination, and vaccine failure in highly vaccine compliant populations."
