Heres what I learned from our recent LLMD visit

Our recent visit to Dr Corson went very well and wanted to post all that I learned

DS has congenital Bartonella from me. I ART tested positive for Bartonella and intestinal protozoan type microbes (YUCK!!). But thats it. Dr C did it as a courtesy to me. I cant afford to test or treat myself right now so thats for later.

She did bloodwork thru Fry labs (complete stain profile numbers 87206, 87205, 87207, another 87205 Giemsa), Genova diagnostics (detoxigenomic profile), Labcorp (CD57) and Quest (CBC, ESR, Metabolic panel ) for additional stuff. These labs and tests can be googled as each lab has a great website.

She did a full neurological exam.

She did a stat and reg urine test. She found high sulphites and the ART showed Bactrim was not doing much so she tossed it out. Literally- tossed the Bactrim bottle right into the junk pile!LOL. She tossed a few other supplements into the junk pile too but not too many thank God and no harm done she said except for the Bactrim.

She was big on EMF reduction at home and in llife in general. She says her son had congential Bartonella and lyme I think from her. She said theyve both majorly calmed down and she really doesnt get angry that much anymore. Her sons pic is right next to her table and hes a handsome young man God Bless. He had quite the fight to save his life.

She was wonderful, warm and very patient with all of us.

Now she believes in treating one step at a time so stool testing, hair and heavy metal testing etc is for later. Right now she recommended the following. Some we were already doing and some her suggestions.

Biaxin and Augmentin to continue. Delete Bactrim

Transfer factor EB broad spectrum

Sy Immune, Sy detox

A Bart

Bentonite clay

Spargo

B12 spray

Vit C Camu C

Interphase

Betaine HCL

Biopure OXO

Biopure electrolyte water additive

Fiji bottled water for its PH of 8.

She said to store all homeopathic, Ayurvedic and energized meds atleast 3-4 feet AWAY from any machines (microwave, radio, dishwasher etc any machine).

I can share dosages via PM but she did ART for Ds's doses so its very very user specific.

 

Another thing out LLMD was happy about was adding the EarthCalm to our house.After the initial adjustment peroid it has helped calm us all wonderously. My husband wears the Earthcalm pendant to work since he works in a high tech office in the IT section so TONS of EMF. The pendant keeps him grounded and calm and he feels great overall. We're trying it out on DH so we can give it to DS for school which has a huge wireless lab and is high tech too.Luckily we don't live close to any power lines or cell towers.

 

She also Strongly recommended mold testing even if there was just a mere suspicion of a weird smell in any area or a tiny one time leak from anywhere. That impacts rages too. I do need to say that both DS and I have genes for susceptibility to mold and Lyme (several of the HLA types).

Once again a huge and grateful shout out to you moms who helped us reach this phase in our lives.

Will return phonecalls soon I promise and am sorry. Was working yesterday, playing catchup from thursday so it was crazy.

Wonderful! You are so lucky to be able to see Dr. C! I am so glad you have such great information and have so many ways to help your son and ultimately yourself too.

 

I am very interested in EarthCalm as I have been waiting an EMF protection product but they are either so expensive or I don't know whether to trust the product or not. I will check it out as I am very affected at work.

Absolutely No Tylenol. Tylenol is poison for Ds due to its effect on glutathione she said.

Ibuprufen is fine but avoid till really needed.

 

Earthcalm has extremely positive reviews and thats why we went for it. We also prepped for it two months prior by taking away cordless and cell phones and wireless routers. I also made the family bedroom as EMF free as I could. IAround the house I keep plugging things out and driving DH crazy! LOL.It requires a couple weeks of adjustment period at level one and then you go to level two. We all felt scalp, legs, arms etc tingles, headaches though mild and now its all settled and we have it on day and night so next we can go to level two.

Dr Corson feels strongly about EMFs and said she always uses her cell phone on speaker away from her body. Also appliances that have small motors are bad like small fans one might have in the bedroom. But things like CD players are not too bad.

 

The herbs she gave are pretty strong. DS started herxing after one dose.

Wow! Some great information! I am so interested that she does energetic testing. How does she do this? Manually or with a machine? Also can you elaborate on the earthcalm-what it is and if this is why you experienced tingling? I turned off the cordless phone almost a year ago. It is kind of a hassle when someone calls though...We have one corded phone and you can't walk around while talking :-). I use my cell phone for most calls and I have a little thing on it that is supposed to make the cell ways less of a problem. Its from biopure. If Dr Corson sees the benefits of the earthcalm (I assume it is a pendant you wear?) that makes it worth trying. I have not turned off the wireless router (My husband was not keen on this idea) but I do want to look into utilizing the wiring we have in our house to access the internet via the wall outlets. I can't remember the terminology but we have wiring for a t1 line so all we need a server installed to make the t1 lines in the house tap into the internet without wireless routers needed. My holistic dentist told me that turning off the router can really make a difference. My son who was sick with lyme for over two years spent the first 18 months of treatment sleeping in the worst emf spot in the house. When I discovered this I turned the circuit off to his room and today he has been off the antibiotics for almost two months and is doing well. I am sure that the emfs played a role in his long illness.

The advice on mold dovetails with what I have been learning. My sister wasn't getting over lyme and our llmd told her to test her house for mold. She had a leak in the basement which she was unaware of and at least two forms of toxic mold growing there which was being circulated through her house. She got it removed and her vents cleaned and now she is improving. Another friend told me that their llmd on the west coast won't even treat someone who has a mold problem b/c they won't get well. I had someone test our house for 325 dollars. They brought a mold sniffing dog and found only minor mold, nothing serious or costly to fix. Just need a new showerhead and to vacuum some vents. The mold inspector told me that dust mites can be as big a health problem as mold....The list goes on and on...

Wow, thanks for the update. That is a LIST, you have us beat!!!!!! Did she give you any timeframes for treatment? Did she have any thoughts on IVIG treatments? PANDAS?

Wendy About PANDAS- she feels its a Lyme spectrum thing. She may have been talking specific for Brian. She feels the Lyme/Bartonella weakens the immune system so much that it allows for coinfections and the autoimmunity gene/susceptibility a person is born with gets triggered.She solved the chicken or the egg thing for me pretty much. I mean if its congenital you know.......

I didn't really get a chance for generic questions. She moved at a good pace and kept teaching the entire four hours we were with her.Her RN and I got to learn a lot that I can help my patients with too.

No, no time frame. She says her approach is one thing at a time, treat and see results. Based on those she will choose what to address next. Right now she is dealing with Bartonella, Mycoplasma, biofilm and starting with heavy metal chelation with the microsilica. She will wait for addressing nematodes, protozoans, intestinal microbes next and lastly the real deal heavy metal moving.

 

Dr Jones did a very thorough neuro exam already so she didn't do that much this time. She did a very thorough history, bloodwork and ART - very impressive.She is very intuitive too.The Fry labs do actual photos of biofilm, Bartonella attached to RBCs etc and she requested those for us too. I will be happy to share once I get them.

We go back early December for a followup.

Brian is herxing already and I am soooooooooooooooooo exhausted. Everytime she changes the protocol he will herx but yes, it is lesser than the first time when we first started meds.

Thanks Jodie for those perspectives. I know how overwhelming it can be and the decompressing that occurs over the following week after an intense appointment. I'm glad you'll be seeing her in early December, its nice to get those quick follow-ups when you start a new protocol. HERXing..... geez, I actually think I'm getting used to them now.

I am very sensitive to EMF's as well, and have tried a few devices over the years. The one brand I found that works excellent for me is Gia Wellness. They have a home protection device and also pendants, as does EarthCalm. EarthCalm also seems to have other things, like something you can add to your laptop or wireless router. For those really pressed for money, note that the Gia Wellness are a little cheaper. I'm not going to say one is better than the other, not going to say they're the same, because I have no experience with EarthCalm, and I know different companies will make things in a different way. I do think I'll be looking into the EarthCalm WiFi, the one meant to protect your laptop or router--goodness, lots of things out there to help with EMF's!

It did not seem like she was just plugging the product but I know I've always been wary so it's good to hear you think the product is good. I can't afford to get pendants for me and my two kids so I wish I could get a recommendation for something much cheaper.

I did find a few products but EarthCalm had good reviews. Another one with good reviews is Bare Foot connections Bed pads and foot pads. I have both but will be returning them since grandma big bucks offerred to get the EarthCalm for us. Those are available at Amazon. They also send you teh Earthing book which is a great read regardless.The foot pad can be used to rest the feet on for grounding like when watching TV, playing Wii or any other high EMF activity or equipment. The foot pad is about $49 and the king size bed pad is $150 I think.
