kim
SF MOM Another sign of Babesia can be red/maroon colored freckles on stomach or chest area. I have about six of them. My children do not have them Do the freckles that you're refering to look like the smaller pic of the two, on the right? http://www.reddotsonskin.com/petechiae
Iowadawn
I've got those spots--more than six of them! My boy was pos. for Babesia, so that is what this is, I guess. My heels have been really hurting the last couple months. Creek-y neck, too. Neither of us has had the night sweat problem, though. Dawn
sf_mom
Yes, they look like the one next to the dime. I have three on my stomach and now three on my chest. They anticipate I'll get more as I undergo treatment. -Wendy Edited October 31, 2010 by SF Mom
sf_mom
I should clarify that I've only noticed the night sweats in my kids since treating for LYME. I walk into their rooms to give them their last dose of antibiotic while sleeping and when I picked up on the sweats. I do not have them 'night sweats' with treatment but they still think I have Babesia. Edited October 31, 2010 by SF Mom

sf_mom
Hmmm, given the situation it might be important to test yourself. It would be interesting to know if you ever do test positive for Babesia or the marks are harmless. Obviously, they are an indication for me. -Wendy

swim
Yes, our son experienced night sweats. We would check on him during the night when he was sleeping and his hair would be soaking wet. He would also complain of leg pain, but he was not getting any taller so I know the pain was not from growing. The night sweats and leg pain are gone now - I hope this will pass for your child, too.
