  2. Not to add more confusion and stress. But the steriods are a no no with lyme disease and co infections. It further drives the immune system down. Your DR who ordered it probably did not realize that with the lyme disease now on the list of things to treat. Some simple things to use, that are natural for OCD, tics, while you await your appt with DR J. IP6 Inosine ( but I DO NOT KNOW if you can take it along with Prozac, you will need to ask someone). Tryophan for sleep , depression, sadness - a little of 5 - HTP each day can help a lot ( once again the Prozac ? I doubt you can take the two together) What other supportive supplements are you using? Anything vitamins? How is his VItamin D3 level? Minerals , can help with tic's. But not sure if the Prozac could be adding to it. HTH's Allie
  3. Wellness Pharmacy sells a Lipo GSH, I found it very helpful to use with some Vitamin C when taking it. This is my favorite oral GSH But seems like the IV push is better, if you can afford it.
  4. IP6 Inosine for OCD and anxiety If you use it you need to gradually work up over time. Starting with 500 mgs - can go as high as 2,000 mgs a day. Also something that can work fast, homeopathic Calms forte - by Hylands ~ no side effects. I have to use 4 tablets crushed up, and add a little water
  5. If this is happening at any hospital you need to file an OCR complaint. Anyone can file one against any hospital, clinic, school, college that receives federal funds. Its no cost to you to file this. Here is the information how to do this below. ( I have been trying to get the word out about this all week regarding another issues with a child being in restraints in a hospital for 3 weeks because he has gut issues and autism and the hospital refuses to treat him! ) How to file an OCR report : http://www.hhs.gov/ocr/office/file/index.html I also want to add another agency that should be contacted is the Joint Commission hospitals have to be accredited through the Joint commission and must meet certain standards, they can loose accredation if they do not live up to the guidelines. Anyway, its important that you also file a complaint to this agency as well. http://www.jointcommission.org/standards_information/npsgs.aspx The more people who file the better when there are serious issues, as it will draw attention to a serious problem. ** and please do not do this because you got ticked off with one nurse, and it was something that was resolved. Same here. This is so sad and so very scary! It breaks my heart.
  6. Headaches are so classical post IVIG infusion. I have to say if your daughter is part of a double blind study, it bothers me that they would NOT tell you precautions post infusion - even though thats a give away that she may have had it. But the headaches can be brutal! I have to give my son Motrin several times a day, plus, small doses of Benadryl for days and bedtime. It can also give a child a stomach upset. As well they need lots and lots of liquids post infusion! They need it, because the Gumanex is very thick, like syrup and you want it to saturate better with fluids. Anyway, good luck..
  7. My son was doing this a lot this year, off and on. It was not OCD or a Tic. It was under his breath per sa. I was concerned, because then they can get acid erosion from this constant burping/belching. I keep looking at the diet issues too. One thing is I cut down on sugary juices, as he seemed to be drinking a lot of it. So when he does get juice its cut 50- 50 with water. And I suspect it could have been yeast or parasites. I have him on Alinia and it maybe the one thing that has helped the belching. Thats the trouble when your doing so many things, you don't know what stopped the issue. So those are 3 things to consider, is it diet, yeast or Parasites. He does have some OCD, and maybe that is part of it, but the core issue really looks like a GI issue of some type. I say this because (sorry) it sounds like bubbles coming from the stomach and is odoress (sorry again). As far as asking him, well he is minimally verbal with asd, so that is out. We do talk to him and ask him questions, but that is after he starts belching. So, it is tought to figure things out when you can't communicate with him. That's why I am trying to see if others have dealt with this sx. Thanks for your insight. John L
