  1. I don't seem to be reacting well to anything
  2. I tried 500mg taurine yesterday and for the first time in quite a while, I felt the familiar signs of rage. Thankfully, it wasn't a full-blown attack, but still. Today I took another taurine and it seemed to work very well in the morning but my tics started getting worse again by the afternoon, so I took another capsule. Now I've just got really angry with something small (although really annoying) and started kicking things. Has anyone else found anything like this happening from the taurine or do you think it's just a coincidence?
  3. Has anyone ever ordered from (or heard anything bad about) the following?: www.discount-supplements.co.uk www.foryourhealth.co.uk In fact, it might be worth people posting lists of online shops known to be trustworthy so that everyone can use the list as as a one-stop reference
  4. I've just had a look at this product. It's looking hopeful. Just wondering though - is it vegetarian? Thanks
  5. Do you think it's worth taking a supplement without fully changing my diet?
  6. You know that free home test that was recommended on here, well I did it this morning and it was positive. Oh crap. I can't change my diet because my parents will be really annoyed. It will be really 'inconvenient' What do I do?
  7. Has anyone heard of or tried or does anyone know anyone who has tried V-Pure? http://www.water4.net/ Any advice regarding its genuinity (is that a word? lol), purity and effects (or lack thereof) etc. would be great appreciated
  8. Oh yeah, duh I didn't think of that! I tried swallowing half at a time (it still hurt) but I didn't think of crushing half at a time Thanks
  9. Thanks Taurine is supposed to prevent brain cell over-activity. Obviously I can see how this would help stop tics, but does it cause other mental functions to decrease?
  10. lol Thanks I'll try this, but I think these tablet are too big and hard lol
  11. Thanks Is magnesium chloride's okay then, because that product contains it? Thanks again
  12. Thanks Are there any disadvantages of magnesium chloride? Just asking, because that product contains it. Thanks again
  13. Thanks, but I meant from the/in the UK. At least magnesium citrate and taurine should be okay though
  14. Does anyone have any easy ways of crushing tablets (apart from buying a tablet crusher )? I have supplements from Holland and Barratt and they hurt to swallow. I tried grating one but it didn't work
  15. Ack, I just read this! I just started ds on Country Life Target-Mins and one of the magnesiums in their liquid is aspartate. I bought it b/c they also included mag tuarate(sp). I'll have to keep an eye on him b/c I just started this 2 days ago. I can't find mag taurate anywhere!
  16. Can you not provide them separately? By the way, is magnesium aspartate okay? Just wondering...
  17. I'd like to try taurine, but I have a couple of questions. What's L-taurine? and Taurine is supposed to prevent brain cell over-activity. Obviously I can see how this would help stop tics, but does it cause other mental functions to decrease?
  18. I have this. For some reason it seems to be worse at the moment. The only things I can think of are a) change in air pressure starting on magnesium. Neither seem likely to affect auditory processing much though lol The other day at the pub (no, I hadn't been drinking), someone said something and I couldn't understand a single word, like it was all in a nother language (although he was definitely speaking English). He was loud enough though. It sounded like 'agthprmnfthryklfthrbmnd...'.
  19. I've heard that this can be a symptom of magnesium deficiency. I don't know how true that is. Source: http://www.healthy.net/asp/templates/artic...icle&ID=541
