And I forgot to take Candida Clear and ached all over for two days and had the most damnable brain fog lol
-
How old's your son? I'm 19 and my bedtime was around 10:00 until recently.
-
I realised that the vitamin A is supplied as beta-carotene which is okay I think I miscalculated the other ones (got confused with the IU). I'll have another look
-
I received my Bontech supplements yesterday which I'm happy about but I'm worried about taking too much of the fat soluable vitamins, especially as for my weight, the label recommends taking 20 per day, which would give, I would have thought, around twice the upper safe limit, especially for the A Can anyone advise?
-
lol Do you want me to create it again?

Ifran tried to start a poll ( http://www.latitudes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=3603 ) but didn't know how to use the forum's poll feature, so I thought I'd try and help by setting one up here. Feel free to ignore or delete it if it's not what you want or if you no longer need it

Female, aged 19, have been taking fish oil but too early to tell. Have a feeling it increases the tics slightly.
-
Sorry I can't help with the second question, but about the sunglasses - yes, I think anything that stimulates the senses (is felt, heard, smelt, etc.) has the potential to trigger tics, although I can't say whether or not your son has a tic due to the sunglasses as only he knows what the movements feel like. I hope this helps

Vitamin overload? Cal/mag question
Greyhound replied to ilovedogs's topic in Tourette Syndrome and Tics
Sorry I can't help much, but I just thought I'd point out that magnesium oxide is very poorly absorbed. I think it's the least bioavailable form you can buy. -
Mine include, but are not limited to: - nose twitching - eye rolling (usually off to left) - throat and diaphragm tic affecting breathing (VERY annoying) - eyebrow and scalp(!) tic - grunting (ocasionally - feeling builds up but I can just about hold it back and it's not that often) - head shaking (very very slight, like I'm silently saying 'no' to something) - neck tensing (I think I may have done permanent damage) - shoulder shrugging - right hand to jaw (in order to try to get rid of horrible feelings due to mole on edge of palm of left hand. This mole gives me such horrible feelings, I can sometimes hardly bear to do things with my hands. Some times I have to use the backs of my hands e.g. for things like pouring shampoo into them. This is the most upsetting, uncomfortable and distressing part of mine. The dislike of the mole is NOT aesthetic. I have one on the other hand too although I don't see it as often. I wish I could afford to have them removed) - kicking the floor as I walk - turning my head and adjusting my gaze to move my nose in front of objects - looking at objects (in a tic-like way, as in I *need* to look at something. This is extra annoying if I'm trying to speak to someone as I'm always afraid they're going to think I'm not interested in what they're saying as I often have the urge to look at things to their left (I don't know why the left, it just happens that way). This got me into trouble in a test at school once as I kept having to look round at the corners of my chair and everyone thought I was blatantly cheating. What could I say - I need to even up the corners by looking at them? Grrr) - needing to touching things - needing to lick things (rarely) - sucking (this makes my teeth ache) - thumb tics - upper arm tics - chest and stomach tics - other random tics that I do as and when
-
(I've also posted this on the NeuroTalk forums). Magnesium citrate was working quite well for tics, irritability etc. but it was having too much of a laxitive effect. Anyway, I recently ran out and was a bit short of cash so didn't buy any more. Then I recently bought (after about two weeks) magnesium malate and started on them yesterday. Today I have a headache and I have mild flu-like aches and I feel very hot and slightly dizzy but I don't know if it's to do with the magnesium malate or not. It feels a bit like how I felt after starting Candida Clear. Which do you think it is most likely to be?: - I'm over tired (I had a late night the other night) - candida returning (I recently ran out of Candida Clear (about three days ago), although I don't know if I did have candida in the first place) - the magnesium malate is chelating aluminium (I don't know whether or not my aluminium levels are high) - some other reason Thanks in advance for any advice.

I visted Holland and Barratt, Superdrug, a health food shop and two branches of Boots but they either didn't stock them or they'd run out or they were having problems with their suppliers. I also tried B&Q (garden centre!*) but I didn't see any there. I finally found a small box in Sainsbury's - they had it behind the counter. I had to ask for it. But anyway, I found some *People use it for plants - it's all the same stuff.

Oh I see, thanks. By the way, I'm having a bit of trouble deciding how to send the payment. Mail order: - will take ages - card details might be lost/stolen in the post Phone order: - Too expensive (I don't live in the US) Fax order: - I don't have a fax machine Email: - very insecure And after I managed to get MasterCard too lol What do I do? Mail order or email?
-
Two suppliers? I emailed Bonnie and she said 'Shipping is 25 to 35 dollars per monthly supply' which is quite a lot, but not impossible. They're not gelatin - they're vegetarian capsules.

Someone had this problem back in November. Apparently it's the lecithin - it can vary in colour. http://www.latitudes.org/forums/index.php?...topic=2811& By the way, are you in the UK? If so, about how long does it take to receive the supplements from Bontech after payment? If not, are there any UK Bontech users on here who know?

It's supposed to emulsify fats, but would that mean either they're more easily absorbed (causing weight gain) or they're more easily broken down, mobilised and expelled (causing weight loss)?
-
Yay! No problem!
-
I don't think they affected my tics at all. Six hours? Mine lasted a few days after each tightening. OUCH. My teeth felt like they were going to fall out. I can partly imagine the pain now. Biting the softest things would hurt A LOT But as I said, I personally feel it was worth it

Need help with my son's continued anxiety
Greyhound replied to Dedee's topic in Tourette Syndrome and Tics
St. John's wort and inositol are supposed to be good for anxiety. With St. John's wort, though, you need to consult the doctor before taking it if he is on other medication as it can react with some treatments. I tired both, but not for long enough so I can't comment on previous experience. I have a container of each at home, hardly used lol -
lol I haven't got a good idea of weights (or distances or time!). It is probably pretty expensive I had a look on the Boots website and it came up with nothing but I am planning to look in the shop tomorrow. Thanks

Would you buy epsom salts from eBay? Do you think they can be trusted? For example: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/250g-100-Pure-Epsom-...id=p3286.c0.m14

I had braces for several years. I still wear the retainer at night. I'm glad I went through it all, but I'm worried that my wisdom teeth will ruin all the hard work, perseverence, time and money. I pray I'm one of the lucky ones who don't have any.

I don't know if this is helpful or not. Source: http://www.drkaslow.com/html/zinc-copper_imbalances.html
