Chemar
Orlando area was pretty badly hit, tho not as bad as charlotte county to the southwest. I have had no power since Friday night, so havent been able to get online. We didnt sustain serious damage in my neighborhood, but many trees down, fences and screen enclosures destroyed and roofs and windows damaged. Trying to get back to normal now that our power is back......hundreds of thousands here in the Central Florida area still without power or water and roads blocked, no traffic lights, gasoline in very short supply, whole neighborhoods cut off by fallen trees and power lines. Anyway, have a lot of business to attend to after not being able to get to my online stores, so will try to get back to being active on this board again by this evening. thanks to those who expressed concern and prayed for us. Sheila
Dear Chemar--I saw your first post on this just before ACN had its second computer crash in a few weeks, and I've been dealing with that since then. So, sorry not to have sent a note! As soon as we heard Charley was headed for Orlando I was thinking of you and other friends there. Good luck catching up on everything there, and I'm so glad you weren't impacted more than you were. Sheila
Andy
Hi Chemar, 80 miles away from the water to the unknowing seems like a long way away but when a Hurricane level 4 hits, it doesn't matter. I live in Collier County in South West Florida and right after our fate was decided we heard about the tornado warnings from the hurricane's winds for Orlando. I rather have a straight hurricane wind, that is not a direct hit, then an interior hurricane wind tornado any day. Even with all the damage in Florida, thank goodness that what could have been, wasn't. Now lets hope it will be another 100 years before the next hurricane level 4 hits from the gulf. Claire
Hi Chemar, I did say some prayers for you when I read your first post! I just read your story of what happened on Braintalk, and am glad that all was okay for you. Claire ps I am trying to take your and a couple of other's advice and just post general knowledge occasionally on the screens trigger.
