thereishope
One thing to consider is if something happens to your child and you need to disclose they are on the antibiotic and where you got it from. Do your reserach about what the laws are, if any. You don't want to open another can of worms down the road.

That's exactly what I am concerned about...my husband is involved in federal law enforcement - wouldn't be good if we got caught. Otherwise, I would have no hesitation... EAMom
It's almost laughable...can you imagine, what people will say? "Was it cocaine? Nope. Pot? Nope. Nope. Was it painkillers? Nope. Well what illicit drug was it? ....oh no...it was Azithromycin!"
EAMom
Interesting observation (not that I am suggesting that anyone actually do this ) Aquatic antibiotics don't require a rx, here's a link http://www.amazon.com/Aquatic-Azithromycin-250mg-Tablets-Antibiotic/dp/B004KIZHJC/ref=pd_sbs_k_3 I'm guessing this is just the human stuff, repackaged ??? Here's a link to W961 (3rd one from the top) http://fdb.rxlist.com/drugs/search.aspx?simprint=&scolor=&sshape=6&pagenumber=9 PS yes, we have a fish tank. thereishope
Do we want to know why you were researching this? I have to admit that ever since I read an article about a little grl that got a very bad infection that will not clear after years of abx all from cleaning her tank while having a cut on her hand, I cannot clean the fish bowl. My husband does it and I don't let the kids help. EAMom
well Vickie, it was one of those weird things that popped up on Amazon when I was looking up Magic Sliders for the bottom of our chairs...but of course being me, I had to look into it. The sad thing, is I'm just thinking of the early PANDAS days when our HMO (we now have PPO) would only cover 5 days of our 30 day Azith script, we paid well over $100 out of pocket for the 25 remaining pills. And here they are for $63 for 30, without an rx no less. Edited September 13, 2011 by EAMom
