MARYANN
I was just reading about the OPC Isotonix digestive enzyme with probotics. The link is on the Panda's site. I noticed that it had potassium Bicaronate (88mg).
CarolynN
Hello, The only place I know of is at some Naturopathic Doctor's offices. That is where I get mine. I know that wine stores sell it for the production of wine but I just don't know if it is the same type or the same grade. The potassium bicarbonate helps lower the PH balance in the body for someone who is high. The people who tend to be high PH tend to have allergic reactions from what I understand. So basically it helps to soften the effects of allergic reactions by ultimately lowering the histamine. Again this is my general understanding. Apple cider Vinegar though, which does come in capsules, also helps lower the PH balance of the body. So you might want to see if the Apple Cider Vinegar might do some help. I buy the brand called "Natural Factors" Apple Cider Vinegar Capsules. The same doctor who told me about the potassium bicarbonate told me to also use the apple cider vinegar. The apple cider vinegar helps to also aid in digestion. It has a lot of great properties to it. You can buy it in it's natural form of liquid but it is VERY strong tasting. But again, in my experience with my son, Magnesium Taurate and B vitamins, especially B6, are really key to help reduce tics. The potassium bicarbonate and the N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine have helped my son expand to be able to eat some of the chemical foods, like small amounts of food dyes, without being as effected. But I really don't think they would be nearly as effective without the other supplements he is on. Have a great day, Carolyn
MARYANN
This is kind of off the subject but I always read good things about apple cider vinegar but what is your opinion when it comes to candidas. They say to stay away from vinegar but does include apple cidar vinegar?
CarolynN
Maryann, It looks like people use it to actually help kill off Candida. This was just from the quick research I did. It is used for so many health benefits. I really do not understand how it is different from straight vinegar in its properties but it is. Have a nice evening, Carolyn

faith
I noticed a product in my health food store today called "Alka Max". It is a product to help with boosting your body ph to more alkaline. The ingredients listed were potassium bicarbonate 250 mg., along with calcium and magnesium citrate and glycine, but did not state the amount. It was a 30 capsules for about $10. http://www.evitamins.com/product.asp?pid=2925 Faith
