itsme
Hello all, Can anyone recommend a good probiotic for a 6 and 7 year old? Our kids take EM and EM extra - recommended by our dr. We've been taking it for 5 months but it is very pricey - $90 for both bottles and we go through about 3 a month so it's about $200 per month!! I hate to do this behind my dr's back but he loves the stuff. He takes it every day and so, recommends it to many of his patients. But it is getting to costly for the long term for us. Thanks for the help.
Chemar
honestly, I dont see why one should pay so much for probiotics. Kefir and natural yoghurt packs a powerful probiotic punch for a very low cost and if a higher probiotic count is needed, most health stores stock good probiotics that dont bite the budget. faith
Itsme, we use "Pro-Biotic Complex" by Klaire Labs. It contains 5+ billion cfu's (2.5 lactobilicus acidophilus and 2.5 bifidobacterium bifidus). Klaire Labs is a very reputable brand, and it says non-diary, maltodextrin-free, certified strains, and free of all common allergens. The bottle is 100 veg capsules and is about $20.00. I get it a local health food store in the refridgerated section, but you could probably order on-line. I usually give one a day, so it lasts about three months. itsme
Thanks Chemar and Faith, I will look into these. And i agree Chemar - pretty silly to spend that much if we don't have to.
