michele
I hAVE BEEN GIVING HIM 4 pRIMADOPHILUS kIDS nATURES wAY A DAY. tWO WITH EACH pENICILLIN PILL. i GIVE AT THE SAME TIME. hOPEFULLY THIS IS FINE. i TRIED THE dANNON PROBIOTIC "IMMUNE YOGURT BUT HE REFUSED TO DRINK IT. mICHELE Hi Michele I do hope you are also giving ProBiotics while he is on the antibiotics....really important as the antibiotic kills both his good and bad bugs and that is when gut problems, candida yeast etc can occur good to give the probiotic at least 3 hours before or after the antibiotic(otherwise the anti will just zap it too) I personally like kefir and plain natural yoghurt like (stoneyfield farms) but one can also get excellent probiotic cultures in the cold section of health stores
kim
Michele, It is really essential that you don't give the probiotics at the same time as the antibiotics. As Chemar mentioned, the anti will most likely just kill the "pro" if you give them together. Remember, the antibiotics are what kill of the "good" bacteria in the first place. This is what you are trying to replenish! My son didn't like the probiotic drink either. You might want to try Dannon Activia. It's high in sugar, but is is supposed to have the live cultures, and it does taste really good.
