sf_mom Posted February 12, 2011 Report Posted February 12, 2011 It was so painful it would wake me in the middle of the night too. You'll have to manage symptoms until it passes. You should definitely report symptoms to Dr. so Babesia is under consideration for treatment. Also tell your daughter's LLMD, if this is congenital he'll want to treat her as well. I believe its about 60% of all individuals with Lyme also have Babesia. So you are more likely to have it then not have it. -Wendy
philamom Posted February 17, 2011 Author Report Posted February 17, 2011 I no longer have the DEEP severe thigh pain, but I'm still experiencing all-over daily leg pain and pain when bending (clicking). It's in both legs, more in my right, and worsens as the day goes on. I'm taking Advil/Motrin/Alleve for it, but have not done any detox products. Any recommendations? I have Burbur, Bent.Clay, Oil of Oregeno, in my cupboard.

My LLMD feels I have it too and is hoping to provoke since the tests came back negative. ART wise I tested positive for Babesia as you know. It can be as high as 80% for people who have travelled to third world /developing countries and I have travelled to India quite a bit. Have to resolve the congenital mystery on my side as well. Pain has been a constant companion for a while now. Severe neck, shoulder, knee and right hip. It feels like someone is twisting my muscles into a knots actively as I speak, bad bad pain. One just gets used to it. I have some cranial nerve damage leading to high pain tolerance but it still hurts like the dickens. The right side of my face is beginning to show some herxing now and has started drooping so once in a while I find myself drooling. Have trained myself to just wipe off every 20 mins or so! LOL! This herx I wish would go away quickly! Am trying to get back a bit on the forums. Have been away studying and exploring new ventures but have some time to myself now that days are not full of cramming. Jodie
lyme_mom Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 So sounds like a herx to me. I too experience ALL different types of migrating pain, numbness and headaches. It was tolerable most of the time. I even had really, really deep bone pain in my thighs. On the days I have pain I'm reminded I have Lyme. Its getting so much better. I started Azithro in August and combo'd antibiotics October and I already feel a ton better. -Wendy Thats it...really, really deep bone pain in the thighs. It's SO painful! I'm having exreme difficulty sitting & standing...what did you take for the pain??? thigh pain is a sign of babesia, calf pain and sore soles of the feet a sign of bartonella.
