Has anyone used Dr. Rossignol in Florida

Well even though my dd got a bicillin shot on Friday we still had a horrible week-end. She still seems to be in a downward spiral. She had a rage on Saturday that lated 40 minutes and then this morning she refused to go to school so I had to force her into the car and then drag her out at school. She screamed for about 20 minutes at home that she wasn't going to school and I had to chase her around the house to get her in the car. Things are definitely not better. So I am desperate to get to someone as quickly as possible. I had seen Dr. Rossignol's name on the advisory board list and he is located in Florida which may be the only state not covered in snow right now. I wondered if anyone had any experience with him as a PANDAS physician. Our house is absolute chaos right now and something has to be done soon. I'm afraid she will get so bad soon that she wont be able to go to school. I am so frightenend......

I'm not familiar with Dr. Rossingol - but if you're looking for a Florida PANDAS specialist - Dr. Murphy is in the Tampa area, and she's one of the leading researchers/experts in PANDAS.

She's a neuropsych. My son sees her as the expert on our medical team becaus she's local for us.

Just a thought.

I am familiar with Dr. Murphy. My son saw her and we loved her. The only reason I was hesitant is because I didn't know what her stand is on IVIG and I definitely want that as an option for my daughter. I am so glad to find someone who has seen her recently. My son saw her about five years ago. Do you know how she feels about IVIG? I would love to see her again if I thought we could get that through her. How long did it take you to get in? Thanks for responding.

Yes, we currently use Dr. Rossignol and I highly recommend him. While we don't have all issues resolved (well, we did and then...bam...strep), he is very good at managing pandas. He is very thorough and he can do IVIG right there in the office. He is open to steroids as a treatment modality as well. He also has some other safe meds and/or supplements that he can use for inflammation/immune modulation, which I think has kept us from having to pursue IVIG with ds3. We did one round of IVIG with ds6 and it did help, but I think if he had been on the other meds he may not have needed it, in fact I am sure he wouldn't have needed it. He will also test the gut to make sure the she is not developing infections from the antibiotics. He will test immune function, mycoplasma, inflammation markers, and he can order Cam Kinase test. He is an expert in probioic use, etc.

Highly recommend.

BTW, I know there are several others on here that use him. If you dont' get any other responses in the next day or so, keep bumping this up until they see it. Also, I can get you in touch with them if you PM me. I like to talk to at least 3 people before hiring a doctor...

Just wanted to follow up on this post. Re: Dr. Murphy - does she use any treatments besides abx and psychotherapy? Tampa is closest to me but I've tried abx already and looking for someone to do more for auto-immunity.

Re: Rossignol - does he do a lot of experimental holistic treatments like chelation? Because I'm not up for any more experimenting like that (I've had CFS for 10 years). What else does he offer in way of treatment for pandas?

Thanks.
